Do any recordings exist of Tim, back in the day, playing the Sitar?

Or, for that matter, does anyone have any really old recordings of Tim...from the 80's and early 90's. Maybe playing with Soko or something?

TR plays them both on the Sticks and Stones album. I was just listening to "A Distant Episode" off of Transmigration, TR plays amazing sitar on it. Check it out.

I 2nd Arthen's comments, Sticks and Stones, transmigration is one of my absolute favorite albums of all time.

Sticks and Stones: Transmigration cassette 1991, CD 1996, remastered 2005
Improv duets with Tim Reynolds.
Transmigration was the third Sticks and Stones recording, and the first to make it to CD. Playing a wide variety of instruments from around the world, Greg and Tim Reynolds laid down some "pan-cultural" improvisations, echoing music of the Middle East, India, Africa, and South America, as well as jazz and funk fusion and some outer and inner space music.

Newly remastered by Greg in 2005.

Tim Reynolds - acoustic and electric guitar, sitar, violin, mandolin, didjeridoo, percussion, ocharina
Greg Howard - Chapman Stick, alto sax, synthesizer, prepared flute, clay flutes, drum samples

track list:
Transmigration 3:36
A Distant Episode 5:55
Sleepwalk 7:11
Old Nick's Jig 6:46
The Crimson Gorge 1:35
Miller's Bounce 6:38
The Djinn Awakes 1:26
Moonscape 4:43
Voo Doo Artifice 3:53
The Bone People 8:23
Dhama 6:16
Without Thinking 6:21

total time 62:30

Well, on the original Sticks and Stones album:

Tim: electric guitar, defected voice, whistling.

Greg: stick, alto sax, hand and foot controlled synth, treatments.

So, it seems like possibly that Transmigration is the only one available with tom on sitar and violin.

Kevin, how is the remastered Transmigration? Is there enough of a difference for me to buy it again?

I will see when I go home either tonight or tomorrow...I think I got it for $350? So maybe $300 or something...might be easier to look it up when we find out the "brand". It is made in India and it is pretty awesome looking. I just don't have the patience with it right now and I have to pay someone back a bunch of money, lol.
