Well tonite was just fantastic. Everyone took amazing care of us and on the heels of the weak turnout at Mexicali Blues it was nice to show up to a nearly sold out show, in advance, which sold out just as doors opened. It was a packed house and I remember really loving that venue last TIMe I was there even though it seemed like it was on it's last leg. It holds a special place in my heart as I told TR because it's the first place I remember hearing him play Come Together, which he played an amazing version of tonite as well followed by Hotel Vast Horizon. You could say I was in 7th heaven. Anyway, the venue is under new ownership and boy have they made it into a top notch venue. The have done so many renovations to the place that they are too numerous to list. Suffice it to say, it made this visit even better than the last coupled with the amazing turnout and the enthusiastic crowd(and not in a bad way at all) It was a fairly painless drive up given how long it took(almost 6 hours) which I think had alot to do with the beautiful day it was. The temperature in NJ and NH was absolutely wonderful and the beautiful scenery in NH just made it that much more spectacular. Well I am rambling now about thing not necessarily show related, so back on track. TR pulled off a wicked set, much different from last nites set at Mexicali Blues but still just as moving and experimental with the versions TR played. Here is the setlist as it appeared in front of TR:
Shot Straight Up and Then Arched Over Backwards.... Decline Truth Come(Up) Hotel Vast Betrayal - Hologram ------------------------------- High In The West Turn It Into Love Do It Yourself Stream u Don't Letting Go Rev -------------------------------- It's Probably Killing Me But It Smells Fantastic Open Up Chatterbox Whole Lotta Somethin' The Pilot Mut Know What He's Doing ------------------------------------ Hands Full - Slide Faker Doom Ocean ----------------------------------- Hold On RMX Contact The It. Up No Head (mansnake.com)Uranus Hotline
Everyone will be happy to know this show was captured in all possible formats. It was recorded direct from the board by the opening acts soundman. It was recorded LIVE with room mics by the bartender who also had a stationary video camera rolling but they aren't synced. And yet another fan recorded with his video camera. I also ran into Keith, a guy who recorded the Suffolk Univ show way back when. He is interested in piecing it all together. I told him he would have to fight John Semon over it. LOL He said he sent the Suffolk show to John Semon already. I collected everyone info from everyone involved so I am sure this show will see the light of day. Everyone we talked to absolutely loved the show and can't wait for TR to come back. After the great turnout(and everyone stuck around, which is always a shock to me when it happens)I am sure we will be back at some point. TR had a great TIMe as well. THANX to Peter, Andrew, Joe, Ashley and everyone else on the staff tonite for making us feel so welcome. We look forward to doing it again soon, but not too soon. LOL
We wrap up this run tomorrow in Wilkes Barre, PA I hope we can have another fantastic show after the last 2. They will certainly be hard to top but we will do our damnest. Until tomorrow, PEACE! |

WOW WOW WOW WOW and WOW
First off the venue. STONE FUCKING CHURCH. In the middle of east bumb fuck. We totally drove past the venue the first time. Had to ask a local where it was. Got there for 7 so I could get a great taping spot. Not only did the venue have the best beers on tap but the food was killer and the staff really knew what they were doing. Very small little room with a bar on one side and tables and chairs to fill the rest of the room. Stage was no more than 2 feet off the ground and tucked away against the back wall. Set up dead center about 10 feet from the stage.. Only bad thing was there was a PA infront of TR feet so i could not see any foot action(the video source from the front row will show that). This was my 3rd time seeing TR solo. totally blew away the suffolk show in all respects. the crowd was a little better and the sound was 100 times better. The Come Together was damn spot on as was the rest of the set. I am not one to break down the set one by one but Come Together with the crowd getting into was just SICK.
Had the chance to get TR's pic and took a picture with him after the show.I felt tall for a change. I can not wait to see TR roll through the area REAL SOON...
Peace Keith |

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Great show at a great venue. Tim destroyed his 12 string and it was amazing to watch. I was happy to have met Tim after the show, got a picure, and got Tim to autograph one of the best album covers I've seen (Gossip of the Nuerons).
I am looking forward to cheking out the afformentioned recording/video of the show. Thanks again for blowing my mind. As usual, Tim didn't dissapoint. |

Welcome Kenny, glad you liked the show. I too, love it when TR makes the 12-string sing! Magic fingers, I tell ya, magic fingers! |

Funny, my friends and I were commmenting on how Tim must have at least 8 fingers on each hand LOL
Well, last Friday marked the 3rd TIMe I've seen TR and the 2nd acoustic show and every time it gets better and better. I brought a couple of friends that had never seen him before and they were singing praises of the show all weekend long. I feel it's rare that TR comes to northern new england (NH, VT, ME) so it's a great treat when he does stop in.
But The Stone Church is a fantastic place to see a show. I'd seen a few shows there in the past and I've always wanted to see TR play in Newmarket. I'm just glad I finally got the chance. I am really looking forward to hearing/seeing this show when it's posted.
Yeah, if you can't tell, my mind is still blown... |

Yep I can, can you tell I am grinning ear to ear reading your posts! Being blown away is what its all about, that's why everyone on this board is here. Really hope you stick around here.
BTW, the Stone Church sounded like an amazing venue. The kind of place that makes a roadtrip special. Again, so happy to have you posting here and also that you took friends to hear TR......spreading the music....spreading the love.....spreading that "blown away" feeling...that's living!
Peace~ |

So, since I'm new to the TR boards, I'm not too sure on how I can go about getting this show's audio/video. Any ideas when/where it will be avilable for me to get ahold of? I'm definitely looking forward to it as I've been all over the internet listening/viewing other TR masterpieces lately.
On a completely random note: Sticks & Stones is fantastic for relazing the mind and, at least for me, helping get me to fall asleep when feeling restless. It also usually lends a hand to some pretty cool dreams as well! (Although, there are certain mind altering substances that could also be contributing to the dreams)

So I just got my pictures develeoped from this show, and the one of Tim and I came out pretty cool (although there's some dude in the backgroud picking his nose lol).
So now I'm even more anxious to relive this night's most glorious setlist. Anyone have an ETA on when this show might be available for download?
Hope y'all had a good Christmas and I hope everyone has a happy new year as well! |

So what you're saying is that you wouldn't hold out much hope for the Creedence huh? That's too bad. |
