Hah -- let me be the one to create this folder.

Thanks a zillion to Tim, Tim, Fluffy and SH for having me on the bill. After a week of an ill-fated road trip during which I suffered some (hopefully temporary) ear damage, this night was a wonderful antidote. Hearing Tim play is always an uplifting and healing experience -- not to mention a mindblowing display of guitar mastery.

Now that I've performed in front of TR audiences with the Offering, Houston & Mike, and solo, all I can say is that this audience is simply the best. Thank y'all so much for listening and giving back. It meant the world to me. And thanks to Tim for inviting me onstage at the end. What a blast to reconnect with him again on the bandstand after all these years. It was also lovely to talk with PJK and DirtySloth again.

Best I can remember, here's my setlist. I'll leave Tim's up to someone more knowledgable on these boards.

Memories of Tomorrow (Keith Jarrett)>
Washing of the Water (Peter Gabriel)>
52nd Street Bridge Song (Paul Simon)
Body Home
In-between >
Stella Reflections
Dorian
Peace (Horace Silver)>
Pastime Paradise (Stevie Wonder)
Stella Blue (Garcia/Hunter)
In November Sunlight

I'm assuming that "ms" stands for Soko, in which case I'm really bummed I couldn't get from Germany to C-ville to see that show!

Awesome show and I recorded it. I am working on finalizing the disks now and the ones I have done are pretty good considering it was my first time using this camera.

Fluffy, I am so sorry I missed seeing you! That night went too fast. I was talking with Mike and saw you on the other side of the room at the merch. table and then the SH people were kind of putting a rush on Mike to tear down his equipment and when I went to leave you weren't anywhere to be found.

Two questions, first can I have a set list for the video CDs which I am going to burn to reg. DVDs (most I can tell from the disks) and secondly, can I still get my "in person" Fluffy hugs at North Star in May since I missed them in C'ville?

Great show, gotta run to class. Yep, drove 6 hours home and now I have a three hour class....but life is good.

WHOA! What a set Mike! I can only imagine that Pam was excited to hear Washing of the Water! That's one of my favorite, if not my all time, Peter Gabriel songs.

Can't wait to hear your set Mike, not to mention TR's.

Arthen: My wife got a kick out of the juxtaposition of that incredibly sad and desperate song flowing into Feelin' Groovy.

John, yep, its on video. I am watching the encore right now. (Hold On I'm Coming TR and Mike, awesome, really funny and funky!) I love it! One problem with my camera is that it runs mini DVDs and they only hold a half hour. Next show I will be more organized and ready to change the disks quicker than I did. I wanted to have more time to work with the camera before the show but it just didn't work out that way. I am going to download it all on to my computer and burn a reg DVD, but I have to get them in order and as soon as I get a set list I will be able to figure it all out.

Ben, yep I was blown away by Washing of the Waters. I think that was a song Mike's oldest daughter used to want to listen to over and over when she was a baby. (He has some great PG concert stories.) It is a personal favorite of mine too because of the lyrics, I guess you could say I identify with them. I told Mike after the show how much I liked that song.....gotta love having some PG in the mix!

Mike picked the weirdest tunes for the first three, what a combo! Very fun! For those who don't know who Keith Jarrett is, he is an amazing Jazz Pianist who played with some of the greats like Art Blakey and Miles Davis. He's written some awesome songs and Memories of Tomorrow is one of them. I feel lucky to have seen Keith play several times. Anyway, the combination was very unique to say the least.

Robin, Mike played Stella Blue.(don't tell anyone, he's a true deadhead, LOL)

TR was really having a great night, very funny, probably more relaxed than I have seen him in a long TIMe. Those of you who follow the boards know I have a "problem" with "Che", because I hate the man,EG, but the song is absoulutely beautiful and Tuesdays performance of it was no less than magnificant! I have to admit, I love that song!

I will write more later, I am ready to collapse. At least my class tonight was cool, about an hour or more was watching a film on the Beatles Sg Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album.

Patrick, it was so great spending TIMe with you. Nice to be able to talk over dinner. I will be sending you a DVD as soon as I get them burned.

Teri, I wish you were there too!

Thanks for the offer John, I may take you up on it, but I want to see what I can do with it first.

I really have to get some sleep! This was a great week and is going to get better on Sat.

An absolutely wonderful evening all the way around. Oh wait, except for one thing, not getting to even say HI to Pam, muchless a hug. I saw you recording away during the show and I didn't want to disturb you but I couldn't believe when I came out to load out you were gone. I completely missed ya. There's always Philly. The show was amazing and was dedicated to both the soundman and Joe Lawler. Joe saved the day for TR. I had called Joe about coming to the show and he said he was coming but he wouldn't be there until late. Apparently he was really busy. Cut to soundcheck and TR's Aura pedal failed. Very bad. After 30 minutes of changing every channel, cord and trying every permutation we were able to ascertain that it was the Aura that was out of whack. I went to work trying to find someone to fix it. I put in a quick call to Joe to see if he had any suggestions and he said he would be there in 10 minutes to see what he could do. When he arrived we moved to the well-lit office and performed mechanical surgery on this pedal that neither of us knew anything about. LOL We had decided before Joe's arrival, amongst ourselves(TR, Tim & myself), that the problem must lay in the output jack of the Aura as it appeared to be working because of the display but nothing seemed to becoming out of it. We conveyed all this to Joe when he arrived and so as we took it apart we hoped that it would be a loose wire or something with the output jack. Much to our surprise and sadness it was a solidstate plug so we couldn't really ascertain if anything was wrong with it. Color us sad and dejected. TR, who had been watching from the edge of the room as we dismantled his baby, decided it was TIMe for a quick walk before dinner to relax him and help him deal with being without the Aura pedal for the nite. At that point TR told me he would rather sacrifice all the other pedals and DI's and be able to use the Aura, it means that much to him and how it makes the acoustic sound for him. He seems to have become quite attached to that device. I could see it on TR's face at soundcheck, no matter how it sounded, it wasn't going to sound like his Aura made it sound. So TR left for his walk and Joe and I went to putting it back together. After it was back together we looked at each other and decided to plug it in and see if any "MAGIC" had occurred. So we borrowed an amp and Rew retrieved some cords and we plugged the sucker in and VOILA! As if by magic, the damn thing worked. As I was banging away on the guitar in the dressing room TR walked in and a big smile came across his face. I asked him if he wanted to resoundcheck or go with the mix we had already gotten without it. Like I had to ask. LOL So now we went in search of the soundman to ask him if we could do ANOTHER soundcheck using the Aura. Sadly he had already left the venue for a quick dinner before the show but said he would be back around 8:40, 20 mins before Mike was supposed to take the stage. Of course this meant that TR would have to resoundcheck in front of the audience as the doors would already be open. Do I even have to ask? LOL TR said "Fine with me!" So off we headed downstairs to dinner. After putting in our orders it got to be 8:40 so TR and Rew headed up to do a soundcheck with the Aura. Thanx Joe for rushing over and saving the day and performing "MAGIC" and to SH's soundman for being willing to do a second soundcheck in front of the audience. I can assure you this is not something that soundmen enjoy doing, second soundchecks especially in front of an audience, but it got done and it was a great show and TR was sooooooo happy. Hell, he played for over 2 hours. He was really in the groove and alot of that had to do with the great audience. Can you say standing ovation? Here is the setlist as it appeared in front of TR:

DNA Cloud
Captain Oldfish Ohio
Delicate OR Che
Truth
Betrayal
At Times
Indoct - tonal information
--------------------------
Sinceritox
Ancestors
Coco
Stream Meat
Vantage OR Try
Revolution All Around
-----------------------------
Space Chips
From This Live
Sanity
Driven Me Crazy
More Flying Potatoes
--------------------------------
Death Squad
Doom
White House
Ocean

Hold On

I should add that at some point in the show TR performed an instrumental version of "Happy Birthday" which he dedicated to "You know who you are!". He also told the story of how Isaac Hayes came up for the lyrics to "Hold On" as the intro. That itself was worth the price of admission. Thanx to PJK for recording the show for everyone to enjoy. As for a board recording, the guy who arranged to come record the show never showed. I did not find this out until the first song of TR's set. Subsequently I missed the very beginning of his set but ran to the van and grabbed a couple of blank CD's and the soundman recorded the rest of the show for us. Not sure where he changed CD's but he prolly missed a little there as well. Well that's about it. Ohhhhh, earlier in the day TR did a little on air interview and few songs at the new station 106.1 The Corner. TR played 2 songs, Betrayal and The Truth and did some interview segments and some station ID's so be listening for him if you live in the C-ville area. Apparently they have a segment called "Daily DMB" and they play alot of LIVE DMB and D&T on there. I think it's unreleased stuff, not sure about that. Check it out if you have the opportunity. So big THANX list for this show:

dirtysloth, for making the trip
PJK, for making the trip AND recording
Mike, for doing an awesome job opening the show and bringing the audience to a fevered pitch
Joe, for saving the day with his MAGIC
Starr Hill, Fabio, soundman and the rest of the staff for making us feel so welcome and taking exceptional care of us and putting up with us for yet another visit.
Greg Howard for stopping by and hanging out with us and making us smile.(and for bringing us Transmigrations and Sticks & Stones CD's to sell on the road)
And all of TR's friends and family who stopped by to support and made us all feel so welcome in C-ville.

Peace & Keep the Faith

Hey Fluffy, I keep forgetting to ask, did you get TR's equipment in the van before that storm hit? I heard the rumbling off in the distance and before I knew it, the rain came and it pounded harder than I have seen rain pour in a long TIMe! From my window of the hotel it looked like the parking lot was a little river! I couldn't believe it. Mike said he got home just before it hit.
