I have always loved Antone's. I had played there a couple of TIMes with Chris Whitley and the folks who run that place absolutely loved him, they thought of CW as there own. I was happy to see that they were absolutely blown away by TR and even remembered me. They took awesome care of us this evening. It was a wonderful show with a great, super respectful crowd which is someTIMes rare for Austin. It is a music town but it's also a party town. The crowd was amazingly quiet for the entire set. Setlist was as follows:

Space Without Loops
Come Together
Betrayal
The Truth
Che
Indoctrinate
Blessphemy
----------------------
Flourescence
Ancestors
Ocean
Hold On
Vantage
Hands Full
Doom
-------------------
Chatterbox
Dreaming, Liquid Mojuice
-----------------------
Revolution
Slide-orgasm
Stream-U don't NO
----------------------
All You Need - Kundalini
Cold Sweat?

So to the best of my recollection everything was played except Cold Sweat. Although, looking at the list I think TR mixed it up a bit, like Kundalini was before the end of the set and not the encore and there was another song that TR was playing right into Chatterbox and don't remember what it was. Like I said, he seemed to play everything on the list just not necessarily in the order it was on there. The shows were recorded on video by Josh and Biff and hopefully they will post reviews here as well. Biff said he was coming tomorrow nite to San Antonio as well. This TIMe he said he was bringing a tripod. There will also hopefully be an audio taper at the show tomorrow nite, the same one who recorded the last San Antonio and San Marcos gigs.

Sidenote: I also got to meet my newly discovered brother and his wife tonite for the first TIMe face to face. They came early to soundcheck and went to dinner with TR and myself. They seemed to really dig the show. I also got to see some very old friends from 9:30 Club who now live in Austin so it was a wonderful nite for me in the respect. Unfortunately without (c)Rew here with us it didn't leave me alot of TIMe for socializing but it is good to be back in touch with them and I hope to make a trip down this way for more of a social visit. Wow, I just heard a big CRASH outside and went to my 17th floor window and on the street below is a major 2 car, 1 truck accident. A MAJOR accident I might add. I have a birds eye view of the whole thing. Police are just now arriving so I am going to sign off and watch the action. Will try and post a review tomorrow nite as well. I got some pretty good pictures tonite as well.(Of TR's show, not the accident LOL)

Did you get pix of you and Brian, the newly discovered brother? If so, can I have copies?

Newly discovered brother? Litterally?

Thanks for the speedy review Fluffy! and YIKES about the accident. The apt. I lived in 3 years ago was on the corner of an intersection that didn't have a stop sign, and I was woken up by gnarly sounding accidents often, not a nice thing to hear.

Im simply amazed.

My first performance to film with my HDR-HC3 Sony (high definition 1080i)..the crowd could not have been more respectful to TR. It was beautiful.

It almost didnt seem real..Tim had EVERYONE's full attention and they were clearly here to see his work. Meanwhile,.. outside the Venue..Austin was flying by a hundred miles an hour... as we stood still for a moment.

I'm thankful to have witnessed such a great performance with a great crowd..at a great venue.

To my knowledge.. we didnt get a sound board feed, but sometimes raw is good Especially with a quiet audience.

Thanks to Biff for the extra miniDV...would have missed a large portion without his help. We should have a 2 cam mix, dunno yet.
Also, John Semon will be editing the videos so that we can release a great quality video for you all to enjoy.

Thanks to fluffy & TR (as usual) for being so kind and amazingly humble.

....the video tells the real story

later on,
josh martin

I guess I'll let Fluffy tell it. (Or Brian since he's posted on here at least once...) Unless one or both of them tell me to do the honors. Until then, I guess you'll have to wait with bated breath...
