Hey All, sorry I have been out of touch so long but I had some serious computer issues that needed to be addressed before I left on this run of shows. Subsequently, I haven't been online since Sunday 8/13. I am now back up and running and wanted to post a quick review of the Moonlite Series Show in Las Vegas and the setlist. Not sure if it was recorded, I thought SurferX was coming but I never saw him so I am not sure if it was recorded or not. We had no way of recording the show.
So we arrived at the venue and it was a beautiful, hot, sunny day in Las Vegas. There was not alot of shade for soundcheck but it went smoothly despite the heat. The venue was beautiful, outdoors. It was a terraced amphitheater with no seats but a beautiful grassy lawn. everyone sat on blankets, it was a very intimate atmosphere despite the size. The sound was amazing, some the best we have had I think. I was amazed how nice the venue sounded. TR's guitar and vocals sounded amazing. I had a wonderful treat as one of my dear friends Rob showed up with his family and friends and we all had a wonderful TIMe. There were actually alot of kids in attendance, they had actually staked a claim to the grassy area stage right and continually played chase, rolled down the grassy hill and generally had wonderful TIMe. Even Rob's son Liam joined in the fun. We all know how much TR loves to have kids at his shows and how much he hates noisy audiences so I was joking with one of the stage hands during the set that usually we have to deal with loud talky audiences but tonite it's just kids having fun on the grass. I joked that they probably don't get alot of opportunity to play on grass in Las Vegas, they seemed to be making the most of it. After the show TR told me that he could hear the kids playing to his right thru the whole show and it made him so happy. So KEWL!! The vibe of the whole nite was awesome, very respectful audience and a couple of great opening acts. So by the TIMe TR took the stage just after 9 pm, obviously the sun had gone done and it was beautiful, warm nite in Las Vegas with kewl breeze. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful nite. Right as TR started playing I was at the back corner of the stage and TR started playing Come Together, I rolled my head back to check out the star-filled nite sky just in TIMe to catch a HUGE shooting star. I chose to look at it as great omen for the show. It was a beautiful set and here is the setlist:
Space Juice Come Together Betrayal Nat Mystic/Truth Che Indoctrinate Economic Hit Men from Space ----------------------------- Hands Full Doom (Devils Bed) Flourescence Hold On (Scarab Intro)Stream/U Don't War Must End ---------------------------- Interplanetary Inquirie Dreaming Loose Ring Modubator Necklace ---------------------------- Oceans Ancestors ----------------------------- Kundalini (Vast Horizon) God's Note
Devil's Bed was indeed played and was absolutely beautiful as was Hotel Vast Horizon. I think TR also did All You Need Is Love as an encore even though it wasn't listed and he definitely did the Bach piece as part of the encore. So the setlist is pretty accurate. Hopefully Surfer X made it even thought I didn't see him and was able to capture the show. Tonite is Austin and we are really looking forward to it. Hopefully there will be a chance to post the review and setlist later tonite for Austin. |

All I can say is truly amazing. I have not seen a show/performance that good in a very long time. When I picked Fluffy up at the airport he gave me a cd to listen to so I could familiarize myself with Tim’s music. After listening to the cd I was not sure what to expect, but all I can say was I was blown away. A friend of mine from work was also at the show and we are still talking about the performance. I need to thank Fluffy and Tim for their hospitality. It was great fun and I hope you guys come back soon so we can do it again.

I was at this show and it was my third time seeing Tim. As always, he put on a great performance. I would say this is probably the best show I have seen him perform. I also brought two friends who had never listened to Tim and both of them remarked how great of evening it was and what a great show it was.
This Clark County Amphitheatre is absolutely gorgeous. I was figuring it would be your local little amp. but it was great. The crowd also seemed pretty good other than being a little loud.
I took a few pics during the show and put them up on webshots. Here's a link to them:

Also, here's a panoramic of the amphitheatre I made (hope this works).
I have a bunch more but these were the best ones.
As for if the show was taped, I did see a guy with a mic down front. The mic was pretty low but it was there. Hopefully he will be releasing the show. |
