Another blistering set from TR. It is now a toss up between this and the other show I mentioned as far as best setlist so far this TouR. I did get audio and noticed video being shot from a prime location. He also recorded Matt's set I am told. Here is the setlist as it appeared in front of TR. As always, audio will bear out how close the actual set was.
Dissolving The Mind From Behind Come Together (Fluffy note: 1 of TR's most blistering versions) Hug Che Indoctrinate From This Ham OR Uncle Hair I Have No Idea ------------------------------ Scarab-idedication Mercury Duplex Samantabhadra Squeem OR Arroyo(Hemarrayo) You Don't Know ----------------------------- Space Probe Dreaming-Roundaball Whole Lotta Maybe Betrayal Loose Problem Seizure Part Dos ---------------------------- Hold On Here Comes When Da Levee Sucks Dood ------------------------------ Come To Daddy(Fluffy Note:WICKED version, best so far!) Cold Sweat Kundalini(minimum charge) For Lost Key Biaach
(Margin Notes) Delicate Buttox Stranger in Paradigm)
It wasn't the biggest crowd we've had at the Crowbar but a decent, respectable turnout. I will say it was the most respectful crowd we have had there. An AWESOME show all in all. TR, (c)Rew and myself agreed it is the best show we have had at the Crowbar! THANX |

This show will immediately become a fan-favorite. I think it was by far the most enTeRtaining TR show I have ever attended because of the unique impressions of so many oldies and newbies in the setlist. Roundabout was killer, and Whole Lotta Love worked out beautifully as a blues song (complete with slide solos!)
I had a blast during my set as well, even though the volume was a bit low (I'm told that the sound guy was busy watching basketball during my set!?) I recorded it for mix with the video (I recorded most of my originals, not the cover songs, because of time timitations, and because, well, I can't totally make a cover all my own like TR:) ). So hopefully this will make for a nice DVD.
I played these songs: While She Sleeps (Billy McLaughlin) Step Aside, Watermelon! Bass Note Factory Silent Anticipations (Michael Hedges) Voices in My Head Time Travel Ditched Drifting (Andy McKee) Stampede Clemmons (complete with cell phone trick)
------
Onto the bad news: Even though it is always a financial risk taking a big trek out for a show like this, It is worth it just for the experience (and hopefully at least to break even!) This time, we had enough kind listeners to earn me my keep for gas & lunch, but woke up this morning to a disabled car. What a bummer! I am now stuck at PSU for the whole day and about to become 160 bucks in the hole.
I should travel by helicopter. hmmph:( |

Just got back form State College. My friend and I both videotaped the show. One from Tim's right (me) and one from his left near the Men's bathroom (my friend). We shot from upstairs so shouldnt be any heads. We both also recorded Matt's show as well. I will try to get the audio and put some DVD's together. I will say that Matt's set has me wanting to go rip out my Michael Hedges Live on a Double Planet CD tonite. Best Tim show I have been to, bar none. Might think about putting some of Matt's stuff on as bonus footage on the Tim DVD's. I thought there was supposed to be another video taper there as well, but didnt see him.

Jay.....I can't wait to see this, this sounds like an unreal show. You do a great job of authoring so I know it will be well worth the wait!! For what it is worth, I think it would be great to have Matt's stuff put on as bonus material. Thanks so much for taping! |

I've been listening to TIM for several years now and own all his cds, but that really didn't prepare me for what i witnessed on that stage. I was truly blown away! My guitar was untouched for days after that, for real. (Good job to Matt for opening the show. I dig your 'tappy' style.) |
