I looked at a certificate from the hospital where i was born (not my birth certificate) and I noticed my blood type was AB Positive. So I went on the internet and tried to find out how rare my blood type was. I found out that 7% of people hav AB positive, so I figured I'd better start donating blood in case I'm ever in trouble.

Then I noticed that certain blood types can accept other types of blood into their system.

AB Positive can accept EVERY type of blood. So I don't actually need to worry. Then I found out that my AB positive blood is USELESS to everyone other than AB positive people.

So in conclusion, AB positive is the greedy asshole of blood types.

Tim, come to Canada!

HAHAHAHA I am B+. Once I was in the hospital having emergency surgery and I overheard the doctor and nurses saying there was none of my blood type in the hospital. List that under things you NEVER want to hear your doctor say!

The last time I had surgery, when I broke my radius and ulna in my right arm, I came to and the doctor is telling my parents about how my bone was mushy like a bruised apple and whatnot. Scared the crap out of me when I woke up because I thought something was wrong. Everything went fine though. My arm still doesn't go quite straight but hey it almost gets there. Plus I have a nice long screw that's still in my arm. Doctors definitely need to think about what they are saying sometimes.

PJK that would have scared the Crap out of me them saying they didn't have any blood. I take it all went well though.

Yep, I wouldn't be here if it didn't. It was when I gave birth to my daughter. I had to have an emergency C-section. I really didn't have a choice, if I didn't have the surgery I would have died for sure, and my daughter would have too. I was awake the whole time, had a spinal, so I could hear everything and I kept praying, "please don't make a mistake, please don't make a mistake."

I was lucky I had a doctor who was a great surgeon!

Your broken arm gave me the creeps! That must have hurt like hell!

You've had a baby so I think you are one up on me as far as having something hurt like hell. I mean sure I had a lump in my elbow that looked like a golfball but you had a what looked like a basketball in your stomach. Besides my arm didn't hurt at all. I crashed my dirt bike got up thought about how bad my leg hurt then about how bad my arm hurt. I straightened it out to make sure it wasn't broken and that was the last time my arm went straight all the way. It had full movement so I was like eh it's ok. Then I got back on my bike and rode out. Had my friend help load the bike. Went home and apparently my arm was hanging funny from what my parents said. So I took off my long sleeved shirt to look at my arm and there it was this giant lump on my elbow. I thought it was ok but apperently I had snapped both bones all the way through and my bone got pushed out around my elbow. Good thing for adreniline. I'll have to put up pics if I can find them.

I know what that's like. I shattered my elbow several years ago and I had a couple of surgeries and several weeks of physical therapy. When I got the cast off, my lower arm wouldn't go any further than perpendicular to my upper arm. Took me weeks to get it to get about 15 degrees short of parallel. Still not the same =/.

I went waterskiing this weekend for the first time in about a year, and there's muscles in your arm and back that you just don't really use for anything else, so I've been really uncomfortable for the past few days. My arm has tightened up and it hurts to just extend it. Oh well.

Did they ever make you where one of those braces that stretches on your arm at night? Those suck but they got my arm where it's at now.

Yup. I had a metal one with blue straps. Pretty neat looking device, until you put it on my arm. That thing sucked. It definitely helped me get range of motion back...I'm probably within 10-15 degrees of normal. I haven't run into any problems because of it...it's just weird.
