i was trying to download some dave matthews off of ants ftp servers but i kept getting this message: Connected, waiting for response... Server closed control connection. Delaying for 120 seconds before reconnect...
does anyone know wha thtis means? and how can i fix it?
Basically, that means that their server is full at that moment. There are too many users for you to login. Your ftp client is set to automatically reconnect every 120 seconds.
Usually that is what that means. However, the server response does not notify you that the server is full. Therefore, it could be a different error, like a firewall they have, or some sort of login errors. If you can't get in during the next few days, email their FTP Administrator or Webmaster.
