Guitar Grimoire: Scales & Modes by Adam Kadmon (Carl Fischer)

Great book for learning patterns, but I find it's best to learn the theory behind the scales so you understand what you're doing than just memorizing fingering positions. Also, it's really redundant. It shows the pattern for all twelve scales every time, even though it's the same pattern. So if you want fingering positions, this is a great choice, but I'd recommend getting your hands on some music theory books instead.

Actually I just picked it up and looked at it, and there are some theoretical explanations in there, so if you pick up any basic theory book to use in conjunction with that, then you'd be fine. The explanations require some background in theory to make any sense.

It's written in PHP, what do you expect?

There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those that understand binary, and those that don't.
