Here's the mp3 of Dave and Tim playing All Along the Watchtower in Dave's Basement in 1990. Dave's attempt at a solo is in the beginning of the song with Tim's solo at 1:18 into the song. No words on this one, but this is probably in my top 3 favorite Dave and Tim recordings. According the book "Dave Matthews Band: Step Into the Light", Tim was frequently teaching Dave how to play the guitar (better) around this time so I believe this is a recording of Tim teaching Dave how to solo (listen to the quality of Dave vs Tim on the solo). This mp3 is simple, beautiful, and elegant.

I'm going to have to go on record as to say that I don't think there's any way that is possibly Dave and Tim. I agree with Xar... sounds like 2 teenagers that have been playing for 9 months and just learned how to play barr chords.
