7-Eleven becomes Kiwk-E-MartJuly 2nd, 2007 In support of The Simpsons Movie, 7-Eleven has converted a few of their stores into Kwik-E-Marts, complete with Abu behind the counter, Buzz Cola and Krusty-O’s. For those not lucky enough to live near one of these new Kwik-E-Marts, the rest of the 7-Elevens will be carrying Simpson based merchandise and treats (ie Buzz Cola, but no Duff Beer as it’s a PG-13 movie. Has anybody visited one yet? I certainly won't get the chance here in Germany! The Simpsons movie is coming to my local German theater, but they don't have anything remotely like a 7/11 store here... except maybe a gas station.
I've been to one! They turned one of the 7-11s in the town I work into a Kwik-E-Mart and the blue vanilla squishees are supreme! The whole thing really looks good and it's a pretty clever marketing strategy.
