After a frustrating day off fighting with the Wireless Internet at the hotel we were staying at I ended up having to step into the stone-age and had to resort to dial-up. UGGGHHHH! Can't imagine how slow that seems and is after using hi-speed for so long. Very aggravating. Besides that thorn in my side, Bend was great and so was the show. We were told we had the only BEAUTIFUL weather they had had while we were there. We arrived at the venue and as we loaded in I commented to the boyz that there was a kewl VIBE to the room. We had the most awesome dinner in the restaurant there in the venue. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend checking it out. It could stand on it's own as one of the finest restaurants. Hell, I suggest you get in your car right now and drive there, as fast as you can. Yes, it's that good. LOL Anyway, the show went great for TR and (c)Rew, I had a few issues during the set but at the end when I saw how much TR had dug the show it made me feel better about it. The crowd absolutely devoured the electric portion of the set. Apparently they are starved for RAWK music in tiny lil Bend. Seems to be predominantly rap and DJ's so they were quite receptive to the onslaught of the IPU and the V. The setlist looked like this:
(side notes)Anything Else Cocky
Lunatic Space Bubble Insight Come Together Betrayal The Truth Che Gospel? Indoctrinate -------------------------------- Sinceritox Ancestors Strom And A Hand Job(You Don't Know) Levee --------------------------------- Giant Space Pig Overkill Loose Enterp 666 Come To Doggy ---------------------------------- Hands Full Doom Ocean Hold? ----------------------------------- Chaos 69
After the gig I got to chatting with the promoters wife who had also been our server at dinner, Molly. She told me a bit about the history of the place because I was telling her what kewl VIBE I felt in the room. Turns out the place used to be a brothel back in the early 1900's and recently when they redid the place they brought in a Feng Shui master from Belgium to help them do the place. The FS master told them they had 10 ghosts in the building. Everyone who worked there had had one kind of experience with a ghost but they just thought they had one, certainly not 10. She also told them they had 8 vortexes on the main floor alone. 7 negative and 1 positive. Guess where the positive vortex was, thats right, dead center stage. I decided thats why TR had such a killer show and I figured I must have been standing in one of the 7 negative vortexes. LOL Great nite all the way around. |

Cool story about the venue Fluff. If Bend wasn't so damn out of the way, I'd try to check it out in the future. |
