Just got home from the show. Holly crap! 3 openers!! That was amazing. Got about 99.9% of the show taped. Missed like the first song or two by the first guy. Not quite sure what his name was. Anyone remember? Fluffy, maybe you could fill me in. So when I send the stuff to John to put on DVD's we can get his correct spelling...etc.
Anyways, the crowd was GREAT, they were all really into it. No one was shy at this show, right up to the stage. It was great to finally here Tim go electric. I have never seen him play it before. Now I wish i could make it up to Eureka. Guess I will just have to wait til you guys come back around again ! Have a safe trip and see you when our trails meet again! |

It was great having you Sterling. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the 1st opener as he was added after soundcheck and I never got his name. You will prolly need to call the club to find out. Sean at the front door knew him. Thanx for recording and look forward to seeing the footage! Wish you could be there in Eureka as well. It was great having you as always.
As for the show, TR shredded all nite! He was really looking forward to this show and it showed in his performance. Great club, great staff, great crowd. All around a GREAT evening! Thanx to Sarah, Sean and Xifer. Oh and Jay who brought us back. Looking forward to a return engagement. Here is the setlist as it appeared in front of TR. I think he followed it pretty close:
Pink Puffs of Pure Pretense Come Together Betrayal The Tooth Che Indoctrinate Frogs Came Out of Their Butts ---------------------------------- Since Smear atox Ancestors Strom Revolution All Around Slide Fear Fruit Gush --------------------------------- A Fine Cosmic Fluke Hotel Vast Horizon Kundalini - Repute the Question ----------------------------------- Hands Full Doom Ocean ----------------------------------- Whole Pagan Radar ----------------------------------- Love Merc Face
All You Need Is Love was not played. After Whole Lotta Love it was all ELECTRIC!

I think that setlist is accurate. I'm surprised, I had told my buddy at the show that TR always goes on his own away from the setlist.
The electric guitar is pure beauty. What a color and what a sound, and TR made it sing, cry, and scream. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a whole electric tour.
It was fantastic meeting everybody after the show, Reesa, Rippa, Robin, other new friends, and it was great seeing Sterling, Fluff, Rew, and Tim. I wish I could go to another show this weekend, alas, that's the pitfall of modern living. Stupid work.
Thanks to everyone for making the concert one hell of an experience! |

i think the whole setlist "guide" is crap as of lately. having tracked out a lot shows in the past year for archive, tim plays everything on the setlist more times then not. there are RARE occasions (maybe once or twice a year) he may change up on run on a guitar, then on the next guitar switch he plays the rest of the written setlist.
he doesnt vary really at all from what is written, and more likely then not the most tim does is add or take away one song from the written setlist, other then that everything else is the same. the only other reason i've seen him play different then what is written, a crowd request.
so if this was mythbusters, i would bust this myth.
and this is in NO WAY to take away from the performance and "buzz" tim brings to the stage. i love listening to his live performances regardless of whether or not he plays the same thing that is on his setlist. i like to look at the setlist as a way to see what crazy name tim has come up with for his guitar switch looped track. |
