So I think there were quite a few changes to this setlist which might be explained by the subdued nature of the evening which I will go into later. In the middle of Dreaming he did almost the whole BMW "Natural Mystic" and then followed it with an amazing interpretation of Yes's Roundabout instead of Kundalini. Pretty sure Flourescence was played and Big Sky definitely was. TR was giving himself the giggles during this one he told me later. The encore was TR and Marcus doing Rheginos. They did the new Norwegian Wood part and during Marcus' solo section of the song he worked in Stream. He had teased this in LA but really hit it at the Santa Barbara encore. Unfortunately, I was in the way back of the room at the merch table so I could not see TR's facial reaction to that. Speaking of Stream, when TR played it the crowd remained silent. I have never EVER seen or heard this happen. AMAZING, may be the quietest crowd I have every NOT heard. I was in the back of the room and could hear TR click on his pedals it was so quiet. In contrast to the nite before in LA where the audience was also very quiet this room had a much more subdued feel than the ELECTRIC feel of the nite before in LA. It was amazing how to similar crowds could have such total different vibes in the room yet both shows were amazing. It's really hard to explain, you just have to experience it. So looking forward to the day off, it's been 6 in a row. 6 GREAT shows I might add so that has made it easier, but we are definitely looking forward to taking it easy today. Soon we will meet up with Marcus and Glen and hit starbucks and the hemp store and make our way to Santa Cruz taking our TIMe of course. hehe

This show was recorded by us on DAT at the board and also by Bobby from Marcus message board. So it will surface.

Man I wish I could've been there to see Big Sky Country, but it looks like it's one of the covers to stick around, eh?

I love the new songs he's been playing. So pardon my ignorance on these matters but:

-Is "Time Has Told Me" a cover?

-Is The "Synthesize" song from the LA show a cover?

-Is "If the Ocean Had It's Way" a cover?

These have all been explained in other Show Reviews and on the TR's Master Cover List. For expediance sake:

TIMe Has Told Me - Nick Drake

Born To Synthesize - Todd Rungren

Ocean - New TR instrumental

You can use the search feature to search the titles for more info about them.
