No order.

Tim Reynolds
Kaki King
Mark Knopfler
Dave Matthews
John McLaughlin
Kenny Burrell
Antonio Carlos Jobim
Andres Segovia
Jonny Greenwood

How can I list only 5? I had to squeeze all those guys in, they're my faves off the top. Nice way to show Tim appreciation, Zakk, spelling his name wrong.

lol fixed. i saw kaki king while ago on conan o'brian, that girl is awesome. how the hell someone can play like that is beyond me. i wonder if she is capable of playing "normally" or if that's the only way she ever learned. she's also a kick ass drummer i hear. can you play any kaki songs, hopeful?

I have seen her live 2ce. She is only 5 feet tall which is pretty hot, and yes she can play "normally" one of my favorite songs by her, Lies, is fingerpicked in standard tuning, capo 2. And yes, she's a pretty good drummer and does some pretty cool jazz stuff on an archtop as well as playing a mean lap steel. Viva Kaki!

Tim (duh)
Hendrix (can't believe he hasn't been mentioned)
Quite a few different classical guitarists...Julian Bream is close to the top of that list.
Sergio and Odair Assad (also classical, but they deserved their own listing).
Clapton.

And it's now become my mission to track down and listen to all the people you've named in this thread.
