hello guitar savvies. I'm trying to learn Spanish guitar with the help of peeps here n there, and am wondering if anyone round here knows any good spanish-style scales? Any tips would be awesome.

On a different note: Are there any guitar Sages here that might know of some cool Indian/Mid-Eastern sounding chords or scales?

Hmm, I can't really help you on the spanish scale stuff, but there are lot's of really interesting middle eastern scales to play. If you get into indian music there is a lot to learn. There are many scales and the idea is that they play one scale for one feeling and another for another feeling. A lot of indian music is scale development through a piece. Then if you are just looking for a basic scale check out the melodic minor scale and start it from the 5th degree emphasizing half steps. So pick a note and step in motion like this... half, 1 and a half, half, whole, half, whole, whole. That's used by tim on Kundalini Bonfire.

Check out some of these sites...
