I know your birthday is this month, but I just don't know the day. Regardless, I know there are people here, like myself, that would like the opportunity to wish you a Happy Birthday and to thank you, not only for the music you make but for being the kind of person you are.
I was introduced to your music via Mike Sokolosky/Common Margins. Offering took me to far off places with its mix of sounds and woven notes. Somehow I found this message board and my life will never be the same. Not only did it provide me access to all of your musical works, it also gave me a second family. There is so much love on this board and I know I speak for everyone here when I say that we do feel very much like a family.
They say the world should be a better place because a man has lived, and that is most definitely true of you. The world is a better place because of you. Your peaceful soul, your innovative music, your thirst for knowledge, and your conviction to your beliefs, makes all of us who have crossed paths with you, very fortunate indeed.

Happy Day Tim!
The first Tim experience I had was seeing him smoke Trippin' Billies with Dave on Storytellers. Since, I have bought 5 of his albums, his DVD and downloaded countless hours of audio and video footage. He has inspired and captivated more TIMes than I can count. And he was also very nice when he signed my guitar when I was half-shitfaced drunk. This all sounds cheesy as hell, but oh well.
And yeah, if Tim posted it would be dope. |

Happy Birthday!!
I would just like to echo what PJK said in that I can't believe how much Tim has effected my life. Just the suggested reading was good stuff, and all this on top of the effect that his music has on me. I really hope Tim realizes how much he is loved even by those who have only met him briefly. |

Happy Birthday Tim. May it be a good one for you and have a good holiday season with your family. You are the musician/artist/person who has had the most influence upon my own music. Can't wait to get Parallel Universes and to hopefully catch you touring with the IPU.
And Pam, your posts always bring a smile to my face! This board is warmer and closer for having someone like you around! |

Happy Birthday Tim!
Thank you so damn much for being who you are, musically, and as a person. You showed me that an acoustic guitarist isnt stuck doing rythme for people on a strat, and now ive gotten out there, and tried to capture some of the musical aura you give off.
You've always been someone who sticks by their goals, and hopes, and has never given up. Thanks again for everything you've done, you're my favorite space man. |
