Funky Avocado is an *excellent* choice. I can't think of anything better.
I have tried covering this at my own shows, but I don't have one tenth of the soul that TIM has. He would rip it apart. |

Any other Peter Gabriel song would be fantastic. A "Digging in the Dirt" with his rough vocal style would be fantastic. He could really rock that one out. Or "Intruder" with vocals too. |

I still want to hear the acoustic cover of the Fear Factory song TR was working on. I don't even remember the name now, but he told me at one point he was working on one for an upcoming akuzedik TouR, but it never came to fruition. Oh well, maybe one day.
I have also suggested "Classical Gas" by Mason Williams and "Into the Arena" by Michael Schenker. |

Oh man, Tim would tear Classical Gas into shreds.
Anything he decided to play would be awesome. |

One word:
"Crash."
Haha...no. I'd like to hear TR do Funky Avocado, too, or Unexpected Visitor...I don't think TR has used any of those "Hedges" tunings in the past, though...It'd be cool to hear, that's for damn sure! |

"cannon in D" is my fav. classical piece.... Fluffy you gatta recomend "Funky Avocado" to TR lol or at least put it on the new album!! haha oh man... that would be so slick... "diggin in the dirt" would be awsome as well. I'd really like to see TR do a real jazzy piece like from Joe Pass or Wes Montgomery or somthing like that |

There are a few Lidsey Buckingham soungs that I know TR could rip a new one. For some reason I've always thought that Mr. Reynolds would be the only man alive that could do NiN's "Somewhat Damaged"... solo and live that is. |

Ya but it's actually kind of cool to loop the part the left hand would play and then volume swell the melody over it. I mean sure I'd rather see some Bartok being played or some more Bach but I would enjoy a nice little loop section to a show in which Tim would play Cannon and then solo with a more classical oriented phrasing over such a loop. I enjoy playing it myself so I'd like to see Tim do it.
I've always wonderd what Tim would be like in a kind of straight jazz setting. |

he could cover a song by Ashlee Simpson. yay.
(throws up)
Or maybe some really non-guitaresque piece like one by Chopin (Fantasie in C# no.66 or Etude in Cm perhaps?) He definitely has the chops. |

I could see Tim throwing Flight of the Bumblebee into Stream or something. Maybe Kundalini. |

ugh. i think flight of the bumble bee is stupid to do on guitar. that's probably not a fair judgement, but it just seems like everyone who does it sucks. they bust out bumble bee or some paganinni thing and think they're the fucking man. i remember someone posted a video of themself playing flight of the bumble bee. like we're all supposed to impressed. his pull offs were sloppy as fuck and his tone was shitty, to say nothing about how many time he cut notes short because he had no clue how to manage his left hand. he basically played the right notes at the right time. that's what typists do. flight of the bumble bee is played by guitarists who can play fast and nothing else. tim reynolds has way, WAY too much class. there's plenty of barn burner music with more substance. |

That is what I have always thought. I must keep working on him about it. Subtlety, of course. LOL |

And subconciously. If he falls asleep while driving, just chant: "You want to play Classical Gas", over and over. |

I know no one has said anything close to this yet, but I think Tim would do something cool with "When Doves Cry" by Prince |

That would be great to hear! I've got a version of Steve and Ed from BNL playing that live. And a Prince cover for Tim isn't completely out of the question, he covered him with TR3 during that show from 1990. |
