Hi there, I've been lurking around here for a long time and now I finally have a question for y'all.
I've been playing for a while now, and it's time for me to move up in the world from my $50 dollar Johnson to something a bit better, so what recommendations would you guys give for someone looking to spend between 300 and 500 bones?
Also, in case you find it matters, I play kind of a Hedges-style of music |

Takamine, Epiphone, Martin's X series.
Play before you buy is all I can say.

I had a four hundred dollar Epiphone, and it served as a great guitar. |

I second the Takamine/Epiphone Motion
I have a Takamine Takamine EG560CBS http://www.music123.com/Takamine-EG560CBS-i11250.music
It's a thin body acoustic, GREAT if you play a lot of electric. It has a thin electric feel to it.
Great sound, ON BOARD TUNER (useful if you live in a dumpster like me) and it's blue/black. A lot of people tell me they like its color. Personally I like a classic color acoustic, but this one does look pretty nice...
P.S. That's me playing my Takamine in the black n white picture below |

I think my next gig/bar guitar will be a Takamine. A guy I jam with alot plays one and I love the thing.

I fell in love with a rather inexpensive Ibanez Acoustic/electric dreadnaught I played in a store... darned if I can remember what model it was though. Curse my memory!!! Only about $200 though |
