| I commend that Lane person for trying to play Hopeful Heresy... but God that needs some work. Makes me want to practice it some more to make sure that's not what comes out of my guitar. I've always had a fear that someday I'd play some song to somebody that I thought I had down to perfection and it would come out, as Kottke once put it, geese farts on a foggy day. |

| No, he actually referred to his own singing like that, but despite the fact he has a good voice (in my opinion) and has been told so, he isn't overly confident in it. There was also something about him not wanting to sing to avoid being pigeonholed as a folk musician. |

I thought he wanted to be known as an instrumental guitarist. Even though he did quite a bit of singing. I'm not a big fan of folk, but i like his music a lot, He's great stuff |
