i switched the strings up..so i used my high e (1st string) as my 6th string..my B as an A on the 5th string..kept my D and my G in the same positions...because theres no way a D string will tune to a G and vice versa...andd then my A as my 2nd string..and my low E as my 1st string...it sounds really cool like playing open chords..kind of a different tone...but when u play anything else it sounds really weird..like satelite sounds odd as hell...all the same notes..just the octaves are crazy....has anyone ever tried this?...i had a spare guitar to experiment with so i thought what the hell...i posted this same thing on nancies and one of the posters there was nice enough to host a recording of satellite and warehouse i did....ill put the link up here in a second if anyones interested in hearing what it sounds like.. very cool. i agree that it'd sound cool with some over lay and since i love bass some bass too.. but then you basically ruine the effect with bass so i don'tknow
I'm leaning towards the Les Paul. It's scale is slightly longer, closer to the 28 inches that defintes a baritone guitar, its only .25 inches short of the mark. The Schecter is only 26.25 inches long.
anyone ever just drop there guitar way down on all strings like an octave or a sixth or something like that? I love to do it on the electric and mess with the line 6 loop/delay. I saw Vic do this by playing first in standard then slowly dropping each string down one by one mid playing. It was some pretty crazy stuff. Like it wasn't even a bass but some funky sounds and stuff. It's fun to play with so you should try it.
Me too! I had forgotten that 2001 was the year they changed board formats! I thought it was 2002. Huh. I was wrong.
Either way...
I suppose that would indicate your daily post rate is down. Or you have a fuller life and don't have to spend too much time every day checking this board!
