I just tabbed "Congo" (the drum loop one) from the 10-10-01 video. I think I did an alright job with it. I wanted to know if there was any way to get it put up in the tablature section. Anyone who wants to see the tab or knows how to get it put up, just post below. Thanks. |

Well, actually, here it is
Artist: Tim Reynolds Song: Congo Tabber: Seth Watters
Notes: It goes without saying that Tim improvs a great deal in his playing. This song is no exception, and there is
actually a great deal of improv in this tune. I have tabbed the basics of the song, but the rest is up to you. For the
soloing and improv, use the key Cm.
Drop C Tuning
Tabbed from video of 10-10-01
The chords in this song are all E-Shape Barre chords played without the barre:
F:0 G:0 G#:0 A#:0 C:0 1 3 4 6 8 2 4 5 7 9 3 5 6 8 10 3 5 6 8 10 0 0 0 0 0
Starting Note Picked Quickly
B---8----
Main Part (Fills on A string usually improved)
e---------------------------------------------------00-0-0- B---------------------------------------------------66-4-3- G---------------------------------------------------77-5-4- D-----------------------66-55-----------------------88-6-5- A------55-6-5---------5-88-66-------55-6-8-6-5------88-6-5- C-00-7--------7--00-7----------00-7------------00-7-00-0-0-
Transition from Main Part to Descending Chord Progression
e------------- B------------- G------------- (PAUSE) D------6-5-3-- A------8-6-5-- C-00-7--------
Descending Chord Progression For this part, play the above mentioned chords in descending order, then play the tabbed riff on the low string (below) as
you walk down the Cm scale (I hope I haven't confused anyone). This is also a part of the song that Tim changes frequently,
but, again, the basics are there.
e-0-------------------0----------------0----------------0--0- B-8-------------------6----------------4----------------1--4- G-9-------------------7----------------5----------------2--5- D-10------------------8----------------6----------------3--6- A-10------------------8----------------6----------------3--6- C-0---777-10-10-7-87--0--555-88-5-7-5--0--333-77-3-5-3--0--0-
Improv Solo In Cm
Bridge Chord Progression
(Strumming here is rather difficult) e-0-0-0-0------0-0-0---000---000---000--0-0- B-3-1-4-3------8-8-8---666---444---333--1-3- G-4-2-5-4------9-9-9---777---555---444--2-4- D-5-3-6-5-----101010---888---666---555--3-5- A-5-3-6-5-----101010---888---666---555--3-5- C-0-0-0-0------0-0-0---000---000---000--0-0-
Towards the end, Tim plays both the main riff and the low string riff from the descending chord progression while
substituting the open-barre chords for notes.
Finally, I know all of this sounds a little confusing, but if you watch the video (it's on the FTP) while you learn, you will
be able to get it down. |

And Silky said, "Let there be tabs."
It then miraculously showed up in the tablature archive.
And it was good. :)

Book of Tim! Where can I pick up my copy? Or should I wait for a missionary to come around to my door? |
