I noticed this in Sam Ash's latest catalog. Their Epiphone Les Paul Gothic, pictured here:

Looks a lot like their Gibson Les Paul Gothic, pictured here:

Now, over at Musician's Friend, the two guitars look like this:

You can definitely tell the difference at Musician's Friend between the two guitars. Sam Ash however, the bodies are strikingly similar, and the headstocks simply say Epiphone instead of Gibson. The 12th fret inlay is different too. It could be the way the light hits the Musician's Friend model, but I really dont think so. Look at the pickguards. Both the Epi and Gibby at Sam Ash have the chrome colored bracket holding them on and the chrome colored screw through the pickguard. While the Gibby at Musicianss Friend has the chrome, but the Epi has black.
The two Sam Ash pictures are seemingly identical, besides the headstock and inlay, which could have been altered on a computer. While the Musician's Friend pics are obviously of two different guitars. Even the glare on the two guitars at Sam Ash in the same.
Something seems odd about this. Anyone agree?
