'Cause I just bought one on ebay. Really cheap and synthetic material, but I just wanted something to learn on for now. If anyone plays, I could use a few pointers.

One of my friends plays one.......I'm not sure how you play one exactly, but he said that the more saliva the better. I remember this because he tried to play it right after brushing his teeth, and it sounded terrible.

Yeah.......I don't think that qualifies as living. I think it's just "existing".

Gotcha! It's not the size, but the motion of the ocean.

I learned how to play one on a trip I took with a bunch of Europeans and some Australians (what a great time I had!).

It works best if you put it up to the corner of your mouth and blow air out so your lips flap like you were making a fart sound. You need a lot of lung capacity to hold a tune though.

They come in really handy when you need to wake someone up - put it right next to their head!

In what setting do you play a didjeridoo? Is it a bluegrass instrument? Or just a solo kind of thing?

No, it's one of the few Australian things to make their way over to the states...

Conover: Oh, my. Hello, I'm Evan Conover with the US State Department.
[hands Marge his card]
Marge: [reading] "Undersecretary for International Protocol: Brat and
Punk Division."
Conover: Unfortunately, Bart, your little escapade could not have come
at a worse time. [sets up screen] Americo-Australianian
relations are at an all-time low.
[talks over a slide show]
As I'm sure you remember, in the late 1980s the US experienced
a short-lived infatuation with Australian culture. For some
bizarre reason, the Aussies thought this would be a permanent
thing. Of course, it wasn't.
[a slide shows "Yahoo Serious Festival"]
Lisa: I know those words, but that sign makes no sense.

Yeah! What a great episode. Like when Bart brings the bullfrog over and they multiply to the point where the entire continent is consumed by them.
