Posted - 03/07/2003 : 12:43:07 AM I have the entire Jimi Thing and THe Maker solo down from the Live in CHicago CD and I am just struggling with the extremely fast licks in Jimi Thing
Anyone have speed exercises that will help me play em?
I use 3 different ones right now, do em for an hour and I can play the licks at 3/4 speed and not so fluent
Every time I listen to TIm I have to go play the guitar lol |

Posted - 03/08/2003 : 12:22:31 AM There is a book called The Exercise Book, by the writers of the Guitar Grimoire series. It has a TON of exercises based off of scales and stuff, and just finger exercises, basic and not so basic 1 2 3 4 type stuff.
I brought some TAB paper with me and copied some of the exercises down to try at home, and they are really good. As soon as I cash my latest paycheck I'll probably go buy that book.
