That's just sad that you think of his talent in that way.
BTW, bobby sheehan was pretty damned good, so is billy sheehan! |

Posted - 03/06/2003 : 9:34:11 PM Well, I do know that some people just consider a bass solo in itself "retarded" or "stupid". And I agree some of the time. But Victor is fucking kickass at bass and his solos might as well be on guitar. And Bobby Sheehans bass solos, especially in the song Alone kick my ass every time.
RIP Bobby Sheehan. He is missed dearly.

Posted - 03/05/2003 : 11:09:40 AM In all seriousnous, tim111262, what makes wooten's solo retarded to you? I'm just curious, I'm not trying to argue, it's fine if that's what your opinion is. |

Posted - 03/03/2003 : 01:58:52 AM Hey, before we just to conclusions here, maybe "retarded" means "really awesome" in Canadian. But it turns out to mean anything else, I shall become ill and curse Canadians till I die (except Steve Yzerman). |

Ah yes Adam, well said. But whenever you get the chance, pop Warehouse 5 (1) in your cd player, and take a listen to 'Crush' and 'Two Step.' Both of Tim's solos are amazing. |

Dont you mean, 'guest?' And, 'retarded!?.' What you just witnessed is another one of Victor Wooten's amazing bass solo's. That man is considered to be the greatest bass player of our time, and I suppose you dont even know who Bela Fleck and the Flecktones are either?
*sigh* |

Posted - 03/02/2003 : 10:12:25 PM You think Vic Wooten's bass solo is retarded? Hmmm. Can't please everybody I guess, but I think Vic is the man... one of the greatest bass players of today, in my humble opinion. Maybe even if that solo will never do it for you, at least do this, if you can.... download a song called "Classical Thump" or the live version of "Sinister Minister". Those have some simply mind-blowing bass solos. |
