My world started to crumble (much like a cookie) around me this morning as I realized that Cookie Monster is -- brace yourself -- is now advocating a balanced diet.

Various articles:
‘C’ Is for Bite Me by Rich Bunnell
A monster makeover (from the Lebanon Daily News)
C is for carrot? by Chelsea J. Carter (AP)

Why? Why? Why?

Goodbye, old friend...

I would like to read that book. Carmen bin Laden said something similar in her book, "Inside the Kingdom," and it struck me as a little scary at the time.

"toliet domination" brings a grim cadre of unsavory images to mind, each one more harrowing than the last.

talk about bringing war on the throne.
Fluffy Posted - 03/12/2006 : 9:45:45 PM
TTT so Teri can meet Aria! Where has she been?
Fluffy Posted - 03/07/2006 : 6:06:49 PM
Hmmmmm,"Toilet Domination", he may have to fight GG Allin over that one! I think GG might win that one hands down. LOL Well GG is dead now so I guess he could pass the mantle to Elmo. Who'dda thought GG Allin had anything he could pass to Elmo. LOL

ahahahahaha indeed! I shall inform Elmo of this plagerism at once. Afterall, he does not want anyone interfering with his evil plan of toilet domination.

Hehe, I would like to complain from a whole different angle, bet you haven't heard this one! So.......
quote:

Lyrics to WAR recorded by Edwin Starr(and FGTH)
(Whitfield/Strong)

War, huh, yeah
What is it good for?
Absolutely (nothing), ah, ha, ha, ha

War, huh, yeah
What is it good for?
Absolutely (nothing)
Say it again, y'all

War, huh, look out!
What is it good for?
Absolutely (nothing)
Listen to me

War I despise
'cause it means destruction of innocent lives
War means tears to thousands of mother's eyes
When their sons go out to fight and lose their lives

I said, war, huh, good God y'all
What is it good for
Absolutely (nothing)
geh, say it again

War (Huh)
Woh, woh, woh, woh
What is it good for?
Absolutely (nothing)
Listen to me

War, it ain't nothin' but a heartbreaker
War, friend only to the undertaker

Ah, war is an enemy of all mankind
The thought of war blows my mind
War has caused unrest within the younger generation
Induction then destruction
Who wants to die? Ah....

War, good God, y'all
What is it good for ?
Absolutely (nothing)
Say it, say it, say it

War, ah ha yeah, huh,
What is it good for?
Absolutely (nothing)
Listen to me

War, it ain't nothin' but a heartbreaker
War, got one friend that's the undertaker

Ah, war has shattered many a young man's dreams
Made him disabled, bitter and mean

Life is much too short and precious
To spend fighting wars each day
War can't give life
It can only take it away

Ahh ,war, (Huh)
Good God y'all
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Say it again

(War, huh)
Woh, woh woh, Lord,
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Listen to me

War, it ain't nothin' but a heartbreaker
War, friend only to the undertaker, oh

Peace, love and understanding, tell me
Is there no place for them today?
They say we must fight to keep our own freedom
But Lord knows there's gotta be a better way

Ahh ,war, (Huh)
Good God y'all
What is it good for?.......

I have always thought this would be a great track for TR to cover, very timELY! Would have been great for his Kucinich benefits.

it wasn't peter jackson's own idea, but it was the best thing to happen to movies since projectors.
pcbTIM Posted - 05/24/2005 : 10:01:13 PM
Is there an inability for people nowadays to come up with their own ideas anymore? All I ever see are movies remade from books (Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, War of the Worlds). Television is becoming less and less desirable because you either have a reality show that is subtly different than the last one (which is ironic because I doubt the producers even know what subtlety is) or some rehashing of some other sitcom with the same tired jokes. The only exception I can think of off the top of my head is Scrubs. And don't even get me started on the music industry. The more I look into it, the farther back I have to go (60s to the 80s) to listen to anything good.

I prefer the very first Bugs Bunny. He actually looked like a rabbit. I loved watching it as a tiny person, he was such a wise-ass. I'm bummed that they're changing the image yet again....Peace,Robin

Dan P. You are a strange, strange man. And that's my opinion.

adult swim is fucking awesome. they have so great cartoons on there.
Fluffy Posted - 05/03/2005 : 07:08:40 AM
(c)Rew seems to be a big fan of a program called "adult swim". He watches many of the cartoons on their and has had them tuned in alot on recent TouRs in the hotel room. The other nite I caught one of their "cut to a commercial" funnies and it was a quick commentary on Cookie Monsters shift to healthy eating and they posed the question, "What next? Oscar the grouch advocating recycling?" I had to LOL!
dan p. Posted - 05/03/2005 : 12:01:42 AM
i heard he once dug up an entire graveyard on a hill and threw all the bodies onto the main road below one night. he waited there until morning to watch the cars try to deal with the corpses everywhere. then he stood up where everyone could see, dug up a baby and broke it in half above his head.

i also heard that he can't have an orgasm unless he kills a dog. that's just what i heard somewhere.
Muskrat Posted - 05/02/2005 : 12:17:30 AM
Definitely has the voice of a smoker.

Ya I always thought he was a raging stoner.
albertstrange Posted - 04/25/2005 : 07:39:36 AM
I always figured Cookie for a closet smoker... Wonder if he's giving that up to???
The wifeunit and I saw it on the news and couldn't believe it. How stupid is this country really becoming these days?

This afternoon I'm taking my daughter out back and teaching her how to drink out of a water hose, just to prove to her that it won't kill her.
Oh no, what if a neighbor sees me and calls the police on me for child abuse???

This p.c. crap drives me crazy so I better bail now. If not you guys will end up with a 4 page rant from me and I'll be late for work.

Later,
Frank

That was fun! Thanks for posting it again.

BTW, I finally realized that the German version of Sesame Street is a totally different show from ours. I used to think it was just a dubbed version of the American show. Turns out they've had their very own show with its own characters since 1973!

Which means they won't have to deal with the whole Cookie Monster thing.

Fluffy Posted - 04/23/2005 : 7:19:30 PM
Hey Teri, maybe this will help put a smile back on your face via the MUPPETS!

Cookie Monster and Gonzo! (You gotta have Gonzo on drums). This is just another lame attempt at control. You know, because obviously parents are incapable of knowing how to feed a healthy diet to their kids. If that damn cookie monster would just stop encourging them with all the yelling about COOKIES! Well this wouldn't have had to happen now would it? Peace, Robin
dan p. Posted - 04/22/2005 : 11:23:37 AM
hahaha. i think cookie monster is a guest vocalist on opeth's "blackwater park."

come to think of it, i'm going to do the death metal cookie song. i just need a drummer.

yeah, what the fuck? bananas? apples? it's the goddamned cookie monster. he eats cookies. it's in his name. i feel the way i first felt when i saw a sonic game for nintendo. betrayed.

BTW I am eating chocolate chip cookies today in protest of this alarming news.
