I was just thinking, does anyone know where TR purchases his guitars usually? Does he just go to guitar center like 95% of the nation or does he have a nice boutique shop he goes to?
never really thought about it until after the show yesterday lol
I'm digging his les paul he has been using too :)

| i am very sure there are people here more expert than I am, but the way I have always understood it is that TR just is out places and doing what TR does (being awesome) and often hits up places that sell guitars (ie, not usually necessarily Guitar Center) and a guitar catches his eye, and he plays it and if he likes it he buys it. Which is to say, I don't think there's necessarily any specific methodology to it. |

| I doubt this applies to guitars, but I know Fluffy has mentioned that Tim is a fan of Musician's Friend and that since he isn't a computer guy he ordered things via mail rather than internet. |

| All above is true to some extent. He has not bought any guitars since being here in OBX. He uses the local music store, aptly named "The Music Store" at mile post 6 on the bypass in Kill Devil Hills currently for strings & picks & such. Pedals he gets from Musicians Friend & other catalogs. His newest guitars he has been getting thru DMB as opposed to the usual store purchases. I remember a couple of years into working for TR we went into a Guitar Center on TouR & he almost bought an acoustic but then changed his mind at the last second. We were on the Puke Matrix TouR at that point. LOL When he lived in Santa Fe this was the shop he used http://candymanstringsandthings.com/default.aspx He even sold his Gold Top Les Paul outta this store. I always wondered who got it. |

Hummm... so he sold that gold top. Hope the current owner knows who was the previous one.
