Thanks! 23 years old. That makes it that much more mind-blowing. I just bought tix to see him in Alexandria, VA in June. I've never seen him before. Stoked.
I'll be seeing him in April. His live shows are really great. He talks and tells stories as much (or more) than he plays...which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what kind of mood you're in.
Either way...it's a GREAT show. He's been performing for over 40 years and it's great to see him still put on a wonderful show.
So have you decided to lug that beast of a guitar around fishing for an autograph? If so, good luck with that! I've kind of been thinkingabout it, but I don't believe I will. But like I said in the other thread I'll probably take that guitar ad in case I run into him.
I haven't totally come to a decision yet. I'm leaning towards not doing it (just because it would be a hassle).
And to some extent I think it might be slightly lame (no offense to anyone who's done it...and I still might end up doing it). I mean, I doubt Leo ever had anyone autograph his guitar. You know?
I do think it would be cool if he were to just play a few bars on the guitar. To think that his hands created music on the guitar that I'll be playing would be pretty amazing.
I still don't think it's a bad idea to have him sign it or play it or have a picture taken with it or such. Just be prepared for every possible scenario.
