| with Dave Matthews Band backing him? I think it'd be really cool to see what the members come up with to some of his music. would it be the biggest, most diverse band he's ever had backing? I think it would be great. what songs would be the #1's for you. he probably wouldn't want to do it would he? ahaha I wish he would. |

that could be pretty interesting. a lot of the acoustic songs, though, you'd have to do some type of score expansion and work out what instruments get what, as far as chords/melody/bass goes. or you could just write backing music for the whole thing, but that'd get sort of messy, since tim's songs are so full and self-sustaining. but where would dave's guitar fit in all of it? that'd be the biggest challenge.
i think something relatively sparse would be best for a dmb arrangement. to touch yearning, maybe. or decline in reason. |

I've been thinking that song Doom.
you could have the horns and dave do some easy over lay that sounds bad ass. carter can handle anything. if the idea will be to get the tempo weird and disjointed I think again carter could handle it. Dave would be I bet as respectful as if he were speaking with someone holy. he'd do what he need. which would probably be some overdubs(intro riff) laying down a progression. which Tim could write himself no doubt and just play it to help Tims solo have some back so it's not acapella soloing. who knows what they could do they're way more creative than me. |

Ive wanted to see TIM do Indoctrinate D+T or with DMB for a while now.

Yeah I bet Coffin or Rashawn will sit in with TR3...hopefully :) Obviously, Tim doing one of his songs with DMB is ideal, however.
I wouldn't be surprised if they (DMB) did that Santana cover TR3's been doing...shit, the name escapes me...embarassing haha |
