Ok I have been waiting patiently for 3 years for a new Modest Mouse album, hoping that with their success from their last cd, their new one would still be good. they added The Smith's guitar player for this one. It is called "We Were Dead Until The Ship Even Sank" and it isn;t out until March but I got an advanced copy from a friend.
It is fucking awesome, you should pick it up. I love them and probably would like it either way (maybe), but the textures and songwriting involved (especially the lyrics) are just amazing. They achieved what I hoped, another ground breaking album that has radio appeal yet totally mind bending in the recording techniques. Look for it soon and check it out!
hahaha. modest mouse is still around? i hadn't heard anything about them since like, 2001 or 2002. are indie hipsters bitching about how "they've sold out" yet?
