That I have been posing a lot of stuff of my music, I hope you guys don't mind and think im a self serving dickwad.... I am a huge Tim fan and I owe him a lot of credit for all the inspiration he has given me...just to make that clear that I am not an adbot or something...need some new nike shoes!? heh....

Anyway...what I will say is that I am in Charlottsville, VA right now and just got back from the gig I had opening for Andy Waldeck & The C-villians for Andy's cd release party. We got AWESOME audio and some great video which you will all see soon....We played this AWESOME room The Gravity Lounge...the crowd was silent and just straight up perfect. A new friend Erin James opened first and she was great, awesome voice on this girl...find her on myspace somewhere...

So after she finished I went up and played. I was feeling great and started out with my song Jailbird, which is a cool song to start because everyone seems to dig it and it really grabs control of the room right off the bat. So I played My Iced Shelter second and my high E string went OUT OF TUNE...not like a little bit like to alow G or something...so I made a great save and fixed the string...blah blah played some more songs including a cool version of Come Together...

Anyway we'll have the video up soon I think everyone will dig it...I had a fucking blast and made a lotof new friends...

So most importantly for the night Andy Waldeck & The C-Villians came out and fucking ruled. The had some awesome harmonies and really blew the room up. The band included Joe Lawlor on guitar, Tevis Marshall on keys, this awesome drummer James, and this guy Andy on sax and I think his name was BJ tearing up the bass. They fucking kicked and actually played a killer version of Chris Whitley's Indian Summer, The White Stripes Fell in Love with a girl and"TheBoys are back in Town"...not to mention the amazing songs Andy wrote thats on his new cd...I just redid his website check it out www.andywaldeck.com ...so the show was... great you should all check it out when we get the video up. Anyway I felt like writing for once and thats it.

Charlottsville fucking rules and Hopeful Rolling Waves and I had a blast. Check here in a few days for audio/video....

Ok I uploaded one song from last night....Its called Sweet Swingset...check it out at www.myspace.com/davecahill its one of the 4 choices.

Way to Go DAVE!!!!! I doubt anyone minds you posting more about your music, and if they do, TOO BAD!!!! I for one was thinking about you last night. I told SOKO to check you out, sure hope Mike could make it, but being the holiday weekend I am not sure. Yes, C'ville is awesome and so are the people. I truly wish I had the time and money to go down and hear you play there last night. Unfortunately this is crunch time for me. I have a book report to write next weekend and haven't even read the book yet, LOL. My final is Dec 12 and it is going to be really hard. (Modern Middle East)

OH, and BTW, I was right about the venue, LOL!!!! As for Huddled Masses, it is still in my kitchen CD player. I have been listening to it non-stop all weekend! Great CD. Just love the Djano feel!

I would HIGHLY recommend Dave Cahill's Huddled Masses to everyone here. It really is a fabulous CD, great music!

Pam you rule...If there were more honest good people like you in places of "power" we probably would live in a much more pleasent environment. :) So who do you know that might have came last night? I didn't meet anyone that said anything about ya but maybe I missed them...

I love Django, I accept I will never play "as good" as him but that is not my intention. I remember reading an interview with Tim and he stressed that when people figure out his songs they should add their own stuff in it. Not to mention he plays everything differently so its pretty much inevidible that the player would not follow the script exactly.

I find it great that you have material recorded and are comfortable enough with it to spread it around. What I've heard always sounds good and I never feel like you are force feeding it. I look at it like this: We're all here out of a similar liking for Tim Reynolds, and your music bears similarities to Tim's simply out of his influence upon you and your life. With that you think maybe we would like to hear your music, since we all like Tim's, and you make it available for us if we want to check it out. That's the perfect way to do it.

Keep rocking and creating.
