Yeah, ummmm...

There really is no way to twist what Kerry said into being a good thing. This is just Keith looking for any excuse to call Bush stupid. The funny thing to me, though, is that he helped back Kerry as the democrats presidential candidate, the ONLY breathing man on the planet that could have lost the election to Bush in '04 at the peak of the Bush-hating, so I have to take his remarks on having the proper man in office with a grain of salt.

i fucking hate keith olbermann. it has nothing to do with his views or anything, but it has more to do with his tone. why does he talk to the president as if the president a) is watching him, and b) would give a shit what keith olbermann thinks about anything even if he was watching. i get the feeling olbermann does his "special comments" into the mirror every night at home and pretends that bush is watching, weeping gently as he realizes the error of his ways. and yeah, he has a right to say anything he wants. this is america, after all. but i expect a little, you know, professionalism, if you're going to be on msnbc, or any tv station. there's nothing you can get from keith olbermann you can't get from any xanga or livejournal blogger with a political axe to grind. i'm pretty sure that any one of us here could do a better job.

Dan, in a perfect world fortune 500 companies would be actively pursuing the regulars here to act as consultants, and whoever gets you is hitting the jackpot. This I have no doubt of...

Way to downplay the fact that the vast majority of corporate sponsored media licks Bush's balls. Granted there are independent outlets, but we all know how few they reach...I USE THEM!

You're right, Monkey. If Dan P. was getting paid to expound upon his worthless opinion, he'd fit right in there with Sean Hannity, Pat Robertson, Ann Coulter, and Rush Limbaugh.

i didn't downplay that. you can't downplay something that already has 0 relevence to the topic at hand. most "corporate media" does lavish the praise on bush where there should be none, but does that make keith olbermann any less of an annoying, unprofessional prick? i would suggest that it doesn't. in fact, i would go so far as to say the two are completely unrelated. just because there's a lot of conservatives on tha air means that keith olbermann is somehow less vulnerable to reproach because his views oppose theirs? i don't get it. he's no different than any of those assholes you listed. they get paid to espouse their views, and they do so with no sense of professionalism. i group olberman, hannity, limbaugh, coulter, and robertson all together because they're all the same. they're all obnoxious, and the way they express their views is on par with political bloggers. only difference is they get to wear fancy suits and they get paid. i've read better presentation of those views on this very board.

but whatever views they have don't come into play here. they're classless. and that's all i ask. a little class, a little professionalism. my opinions are worth no more than theirs, and i don't generally express them well, but i also don't get paid to do so publically. maybe if i did, it'd be different.

I don't watch the shit religiously, I caught the clip via the internet because it was some other asshole's idea to post a link for it. I haven't had a television broadcast beamed into my abode for 4 years, November. I am just as disgusted with all the talking heads on television, I am merely saying, from a strictly narrative standpoint, his speech was well-constructed and poingnant. Nuff said, comic book style.
