No, I just said that to throw him off.....YES of course it is! LOL Sorry, I work all day with smart ass kids and I guess some of it wears off on me! haha

No surprise it's on a bunch of live shows as well, he played it a lot. Gossip of the Neurons also has Hemetic dew Drops which someone mentioned he played some notes of the other night. Kundalini bonfire (one of my favorites) along with Loose Interpretations (another one I like a lot)is on it too, so if you don't have it, you should get a copy. It is an awesome CD.

BTW, Gossip of the Neurons was recorded live at Millers in C'ville. If you have ever been to Millers, it has a really small stage in the front window. C'ville is crawling with great musicians, most who you never hear of. I feel lucky to have heard a number of groups perform there and the atmoshere is laid back and fun. Of course, maybe the fact that I drank a whole lot more than normal when I was there had something to do with that but hey, it's a great place.

http://www.timreynolds.com/discography/

If you click on the individual CD's it gives you a track listing. Hope this helps.

hmmm, I wonder who mentioned that ;) .

But yeah, Gossip isn't like other live albums. This one was done (in the backroom, if I am not mistaken) and without an audience. It really was an album recorded all at once, straight through. Some are real songs (big blast of hot air, loose, and such) and some where just spur of the moment. No overdubs either. It was also all digitaly recorded with their recording equipment at Miller's. I think Tim only had his D-35, a boss DD-5 (before his DD-6) and a volume/swell pedal. He also might have had a reverb pedal, but I don't know about that.

Anyways, great album. It's a feeling like you are just sitting there, just you and tim, and he is just playing his heart out for an hour. Mmmmm, voyeurism.

I have heard that it was just guitar, delay and volume too, but I swear I hear some delay in there too at points.

Big Blast of Hot Ass, as I have seen printed, is kinda just an idea rather than a song. Tim just does whatever-the-fuck on it whenever he plays it, usually Drop-A tuned madness.

For an early version, download Tim's 10/31/92 concert. Also noted versions, for me at least, are 6/17/00, 7/15/97, and the Big Blast/Radar Contact fusion from Tim and Dave 3/31/03, I believe.

For video, Tim played it on his appearance on Craig Kilborn's show which you can check out on youtube.com here:

Enjoy.

(I originally said, "Enjoy, fucker." but then thought better of it. Big ups to Fluffy. AHAHA)

For the record, it was actually recorded LIVE at Miller's in C-ville in front of an audience. The reason you don't hear the audience is no mics were used for the recording. TR's guitar was recorded direct to the board so VOILA!, no audience chatter.
