As I think I mentioned in my review of the previous nites show, TR and Stanley were both on FIRE for this show as well. Both played about an hour solo set each and then took a small break and came back and played together for 1 hr+ and it was breathtaking. Unbelievable to watch these 2 guitar masters weave their unique styles together. They really played off each other well. Unlike the nite before I witnessed the entire performance from literally 2 feet away. Don't worry, I got LOTS of pics from this performance. The setlist for TR's set is as follows:

Inner Space Ship
Hug
Che
Delicate Balance
The Truth
Betrayal (Courante?)
Sweet Oozing Flowers
------------------------
Hand Full
Metamorph
Doom
Revolution
Ancestors
If the Ocean
-------------------------
Vast Horizon
Che
Kundalini?
(All You Need)

Hotel Vast Horizon absolutely stole the show for me, U can tell TR really FEELS that song. He told me he really felt Big Sky Country as well it was just alot harder for him to sing and play on and he feels far more at ease with HVH and it shows. He gained a whole new respect for CW as a songwriter as he has tried to learn these songs. He says the genius of Chris is that a first listen they sound so simple until you try to learn them and find out how complex they really are whithout being challenging for listener. TR was quite impressed.

There was no setlist for Stanley and TR as they completely improvised and just played off each other but I know they played The Animals House of the Rising Sun and Sly and the Family Stone's Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) along all the improv. House of the Rising Sun really stole the show for the crowd onhand. They really tore that one up together, it was absolutely beautiful. There was even talk of seeing if we could somehow donate the recording of that song to some kind of New Orleans relief effort. Very unique take on a song we all know. For those who aren't familiar with the history of the song here is a link to more about the song:

These performances were recorded in both audio and video formats. I am waiting for recordings to be sent. I can offer more once I relisten to the recordings.

Special THANX to Jon Beckner and Chris for taking such good care of us while we were there, we had a great TIMe and experience as always. You guys are the best!

Also worthy of note, TR and Stanley have talked about working together some more in the future. Stanley lives in Sedona which isn't to far from TR so don't be surprised if we see them working together again soon. Speaking of which, I just noticed that Stanley is also on the bill for the upcoming Madison, WI show. What a wonderful surprise. Guess it was sooner than I thought. LOL
