Mike Sokolowski and Houston Ross! I just got word from Mike and I am so totally psyched for this!

Patrick, I know you will be there and you will be so happy to hear this news!

I was probably the first one to buy a ticket and that was before I knew Mike and Houston were opening. Woohooo it doesn't get much better than this!

Dave that's awesome! I will finally get to meet you since things got weird at Lancaster.

Here's the scoop: Tues. July 11,2006
Star Hill Music Hall
Doors open at 8:00PM
TR's set time 10:00PM

I am kind of assuming Mike and Houston will go on about 9:00PM. The cost of the show is $14 in advance, $16 at the door. With a capacity of 450, who knows, it could sell out? The venue is at 709 West Main Street, Charlottesville VA 22903

Go to the home page and click on the C'ville show. You can click on the venue to order your tickets.

I will be arriving on Monday morning, but won't get to see anyone from the board until the show. This is going to be a great show and if you never visited C'ville, it is well worth the trip! It is a quaint town, home of UVA, and of course the famous "Millers" (where I had a few too many drinks last year, LOL) Those of you who are DMB fans know that is where they all met, in C'ville, but I don't remember seeing anything DMB when I was there, but then, I wasn't really looking either.

For anyone interested, here is a great website to help with hotels, and other information about C'ville. http://www.charlottesvilletourism.org/

Kevin, OMG. As I told Mike, every time I think things can't get any better, it does! Please email me if you make reservations. I need to discuss some things with you!

Maybe Ill stay until the weekend....Awesome, Im gonna call Andy to see if he has any shows, if so I will post them, he is amazing, if you are around I suggest checking him out! Him and his former bandmate Kevin Murphy played with Tim for a TR3 reunion, not sure exactly when... Andy played bass, Kevin on drums. Tim had some very kind words for them last time we saw him. Anyone know what the cheapest airport to fly into would be? I just did a quick travelocity search for LAX to Richmond and 1 ticket was almost $400 I would definately need to find something a lot cheaper than that.

Kevin, I did a quick search and couldn't find anything cheaper. For LA to Charlottesville round trip the cheapest I found was $470, which is pretty good considering the gas crunch etc. I think you have to fly into either Washington DC or Atlanta to get a connecting flight to Charlottesville. The Charlottesville airport is about 8 miles out of town, but once in town, you can walk most everywhere.

Like you, the cheapest I found was flying into Richmond and that was just under $400. I honestly don't think you can find any cheaper prices and by the time you tack on transportation to C'ville from Richmond or wherever, you wouldn't have saved anything.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

There was an article in "Outside" mag last month maybe the month before...I'm checking it out for you.... O.k. Last minute deals at travelzoo.com updated every Wed. Sidestep.com looks for deals with 585 airlines, including Jetblue which Expedia Orbitz etc.don't include. Kayak.com (Which has worked for me because they have what's called an "open jaw"travel, you can fly into one city and out of another). Good luck. If you're willing, you can try skyauction.com and bid on a flight. Keep trying, persistance has often paid off for me, even to Kauai where flights fill up by the day. Peace, Robin

Kevin, Mike told me Jetblue used to have a flight to Dulles for $99.

I didn't see that but I went into Jetblue's site and found a round trip from Burbank to Richmond VA with a stop in NYC's JFK for as low as $179, several choices of times same route for $249, round trip. Not sure if that will help or not. I think Richmond is about an hour from C'ville so you would then need to rent a car or whatever.

Teri, Did you ever read my emails?

I would love to fly out there too! I've been checking possible flights from Sac and Oakland, but with no luck. Oh well, I expect both acts to be fully taped (audio and video!) and I want multiple reviews! You guys are so lucky!
