So tonite was sadly the last nite of the run. It was another stellar performance by TR. The show was well attended and it was predominantly a college crowd. It was also a standing venue. Having said that, the drinking crowd was way into it and for the most part very attentive. They seemed to really dig TR's performance. They were mostly crowded up front and it was like that for the whole show. No mass exodus after "Field and STREAM magazine" and to my knowledge I don't think anyone yelled it at all. That in and of itself is pretty amazing. LOL Anyway, on to the setlist:
Curvature of Space Squirting In Your Eyes Hopeful Heresy Che Indoctrinate Whole Lotta Betrayal Tentative Liquid Anxiety ------------------------------- As Far As We Can See Arroyo (Sun...) Scarab Streamoids You Don't Know Hold On ------------------------------- Tickles the Clown Dreaming Come To Daddy Dissolution -------------------------------- Vantage Point Levee Breaks Doom ------------------------------- Jeepster Kundalini -------------------------------- All You Need Cold Sweat
(Margin Notes: Just One Fix and Locomotive Breath) So you know, Just One Fix Locomotive Breath were the encores and All You Need and Cold Sweat were cut on this particular nite for whatever reason.
For KevinLesko: Locomotive Breath is a Jethro Tull cover. Just One Fix is already on the list I think. Can't remember if he has done that acoustic before or not. Tonite was the premiere of Locomotive Breath. I noticed someone suggested we keep track of first performances of covers. So there ya go, all the news thats fit to print.
Lucky for us, Elijah, the guy who did such a wonderful job recording the San Antonio show for us made it at the last second to the show in San Marcos and recorded that as well. He didn't think he would be able to make it as he had to work tonite in San Antonio but at the last moment was able to get out of work and drove all the way up to San Marcos and made it moments before TR went on. SPECIAL THANX to Elijah for all his hard work. Again, he recorded it to his laptop into ProTools 7.0 and had a mic set up at the soundboard for ambient room and audience. He recorded TR strait outta the board. There was also a guy named David who shot the whole show on video from a particularly great vantage point on a tripod. So we can look forward to someone hopefully marrying the 2 when we get copies of both from them. Some more stuff to look forward to the future for. If you were thinking about killing yourself, now might not be a good TIMe.
Another special thanx go out to Brian and John for taking such good care of us the last few nites. They really pushed to get TR to add these shows to his schedule. We are glad we did!! THANX! |

Speaking of the Lancaster show, NOT the San Marcos show by the way. Didn't want anyone thinking I was dissin' the great audience in San Marcos. |
