Well this may have been the best setlist of this run of shows, at least for my taste. Of course that's always subjective. Anyway, it was a GREAT show, GREAT crowd, a little loud, but definitely into it. The stage is low at the Mad Frog so its understandable how the folks in the back get easily distracted at the show. From about halfway back you can just see TR's head. He actually kneeled down for one entire song. I was by the soundboard and looked up and couldn't see TR at all from my vantage point. I could hear guitar but could not see TR. I freaked and quickly made my way up to the stage to find out what the problem was. TR was kneeling on the stage playing the song. After it was over he got up and I quickly asked him if everything was OK, he said "yes" and onto the next song. After the show I asked him what happened, was there a problem? He said "NO, I was just feeling it, so I kneeled down!" Thats our TR! So the audience was attentive, but a bit chatty. Otherwise a BRILLIANT show! Yes, yes, I know what you are asking, YES, it was recorded on video. Unfortunately, again, noone showed up to record audio so we will have to rely on the video that was shot. It was on a tripod at a great vantage point. Erich is on it about getting a copy of the show to circulate. For those interested, here was the setlist:
(Psychonauts In Space) Liberation Through Hearing In the In Between Che Vantage Point Sinceritox Dissolution Arroyo Delicate Essence Axiom Humble Measure Betrayal Ode to the Box Hug Doom Hidden Variables Uncle Chair
Stream You Don't Know Hold On ---------------- Existential Multiplicity Loose Enterpretation(From This World) Indoctrinate Cold Sweat Kundalini Modulator Pulsations --------------------- All You Need - Inquiring Minds Need to EXPLODE!!!!
As most of you will probably notice, this was one of TR's most instrumental setlists to date. It is NOT the reason I think it was best, I love TR's vocals, but the choice of songs is mind-blowing. It's almost like Parallel Universe acoustic for the first hour of the show. WICKED!!!! This show really rocked my world!

I think it's fair to say that Che is the board's new favorite acoustic tune! Uncle Chair, Hug, Vantage Point, etc, etc all rock, and I can't wait to see him in April. |
