I like the electric stuff. The half acoustic/half electric shows are fantastic. It's cool to see him mix it up. You should check out Mercury Direct. It will melt your face!

I would've killed to have seen a Chaos View show or even an Equilibrium show. Oh well, knowing Tim he'll probably be shifting soon.

Mercury Direct is one of my favorite songs off of IPU.

Wow, picky aren't ya? I'd be thrilled to see a show again anyTIMe. What has happened to no expectations? Have we gotten to the point that we have to say "well I'd like to see a show... but you know only if it has these songs, and oh none of that." It's not an iPod it's live, it's(Gasp)art!! Geez, go to a show and have fun and be amazed. Peace, Robin

I can be as picky as I want...that is my job...i enjoy tim and will enjoy it in any case, but I wish I could catch some Stream stuff or Nomadic tunes...I am an acoustic guitar player...I play electric too, but I love to see a great acoustic guitar show and I would love to see certain songs live...I have a right to want to hear certain music from an acoustic show, just as Tim has the right to play what he wants...thanks for the replies though

You can certainly have the want, just don't go crazy like a lot of DMB fans do. "Oh man the band played Crash tonight! I hate them it was the worst show ever!" or "They played so many radio songs tonight, ahhhh!!"

I can honestly say there's never been a concert I've gone to where I didn't hope to hear a certain song. If I didn't hear it, oh well. My first time show I would've killed to hear Rheginos and the Resurrection, it didn't happen, but it was still the thired greatest experience of my musical life (after the other two times I've seen him!).

You should consider going even if it is electric. It probably won't be more than $20 and you'll see one of the greatest guitarists/musicians in the world.

Your job is being picky? How'd you get hooked up with that? Seriously though, if you go to a TR show on this run you will see a great acoustic performance. Probably close to an hours worth but that just depends on his mood for the night. The rest more than likely will be electric unless something has changed. But that just adds flava. And I wouldn't go expecting to hear Stream. It's possible but that's few and far between these days. If more people were aware they would be wanting to hear DOOM instead, or Rheginos. For me, to only have to pay around $10 for a ticket, stand 4 feet from my favorite guitarist and get blown away is priceless. I've never had one single complaint from one of his shows. It's all good all the time. But that's just my 2 cents; if it's worth that.

And another couple of recent setlists to compare and contrast:

http://www.timreynolds.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6002

http://www.timreynolds.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6293

As mentioned before, it is about one hour acoustic and then TR closes the set with about 30 mins of electric. Encores are "usually" a combination. Hope this helps!

Have you called the actual venue? Is it a situation where you can't go there and purchase them ahead of time, physically?

Ha! That was funny... I wouldn't get in on that kind of bet either. But it has to be easier for women not to do it. You see, men, we have to do it. It's our nature. So if we do place a bet you've got to put up 2 to 1 odds.

Yes, it does belong on the other side. I blame Arthen for this tangent. I only dropped a suddle Seinfeldism and it was still TRelated. He took it and ran so I had to keep up.

Yea, so about that TR setlist. I'm definitley going to be at the 11/3 show and perhaps the 11/4. I would love to hear Come Together and Mercury Direct. Jason, if you make it to b'ham I want you to punch me in the face when he starts playing Mercury Direct.

Sorry to butt in a conversation. If you ever have seen the movie I Heart Huckabees the whole punch in the face thing is rationalized. You probably did not have this in mind when you were talking about it. If your not familiar with the theory you should check it out. The movice is pretty interesting.

I've never seen that movie. I was just being stupid. I know what movie you're talking about though. Gene Hackman... I'll check it out.

Are me and EntuTIMsiast the only ones from this board going to the 11/3 show? I think you all should take a road trip. It's just a destination with time in-between.

Those were the days! It feels like ages ago.

1. When a quote is issued from one of my all time favorite episodes of Seinfeld, I'm gonna react. You kept going! We're both to blame!

2. OnlySuperstition: Don't worry about butting into a "conversation" there's nothing really private on the board. If you ever want to jump on in, and throw something out there, feel free, buddy. That's all we used to ever do, and we got 200+ threads full of nonsense.

3. I would punch you in the face if he started playing Merc. Direct. Then I'd punch myself in the face. I'd kill to see that live.

4. I'd come to the shows but I live in CA, and have another round of midterms around those days.

You're right, it's just much easier to blame someone else.

I've seen Mercury Direct live. If only we could get a bunch of people from this board at one show we'd definitely get a mosh pit going. I wouldn't be satisfied until I was knocked out.

Living in CA and having miterms are minor obstacles.

about the venue...8x10 (the bmore venue) has it listed, so it seems like it is a legit deal, and the link to buy the tickets there for Tim takes you to a ticket master page without tim listed...I think I will call the venue here soon though...
