What's your favorite Tim/TR3 Cover?
For me it's:
Tim (solo instrumental) - Mercy Street and San Jacinto (both Peter Gabriel) Tim (solo w/ vocals) - Primitive (Annie Lennox) and Red Rain (Peter Gabriel) TR3 - Spill the Wine (WAR) and All the Critics Love You in New York (Prince) |
Steve Hackett: "I'm my own opening act, you see." Tim (before "Faceoff"): "Peace, love....and SEX!" cbenc41@hotmail.com |

ACOUSTIC:
Come Together(The Beatles)
Although I would love to hear the Fear Factory cover that TR was working on acoustic. So far it hasn't happened.
ELECTRIC:
Just One Fix(Ministry)
Those are spur-of-the-moment, off-the-top-of-my-head answers, they could change. LOL |

Mine change too, based on the old musical moods I'm in. |

I am a big fan of Mercy Street as well. I have taken quite a shine to his Buffalo Soldier rendition, as well as Zimababwe. Can't wait to hear his Cardigans covers, wish he'd do Favorite Game. |

San Jacinto Mercy Street Of These, Hope (Arthen, I know you like that one too) Neil Young Medley (Harvest, Only Love Can Break Your Heart, Gold Rush) Jump Nyabinghi
I can't wait for the Aphrodite's Child stuff.

His "Of These, Hope" is fantastic. Now if he'd only do "With This Love". |

I forgot In Your Eyes. How could I have forgotten that one? That one used to be a really biggie to me. |

Ahhh man, too many from which to chose. BUT off the very top of my head:
Electric: Spill the Wine (WAR) Rat Poison (The Prodigy) Just One Fix (Ministry)
Acoustic: Mercy Street (Peter Gabriel) All You Need is Love (Beatles) Explode (Cardigans... can't wait to hear a recording of this, it was beautiful live)

Big Shot? You mean Big Time? Heh. I'm actually working on Shock the Monkey for my own personal enjoyment. |

I really like that Zimbabwe cover from the 1997 show that you recommended to me.
It's very 'feel good'. I don't know what else to say.
Ohio is always great too, I enjoyed the version he played at the Tralf which I got to see live. |
Tim, come to Canada! |

Arthen, I'm oddly also working on such a cover of Shock da Monkey. I'm sure we've got different ideas down, but I bet it'd be interesting to compare what we've got perhaps. But therein, we might not want to compare since we might "contaminate" each others' versions, ha! |

Mine's fairly rough, but I'm trying to see if I can make it through without having to loop anything. When I get something decent, maybe we can compare notes or something. |
