anyone seen one i'd like to get a fretless acoustic just pur wood to inly or anything... dunno though anyone seen ne? |

i've been reading this book about how to build an electric guitar and they covered the fretless guitar briefly... nothing special I can say though.
If you got one, do you think you'd have the patience to figure it out properly?
It just sounds like it would be a very tough instrument to learn |

I've played one, and it was alright. If I had time to sit down with it for a week to really play it, maybe it would mean more. But, for the most part, it just seems like it's another quirky instrument to have. In my opinion a fretless bass makes more sense. |

I've thought about this before too.
Chances are you don't have an old guitar that you don't mind ruining, but i think you could pull all the frets out and fill the cracks in with wood putty, just as Jaco Pastorius did when making his own fretless bass.
Dunno if it'd be worth it though. |
