Congress is about to vote on amending the U.S. Constitution to deny marriage equality to same-sex couples.
Never before has our Constitution been amended to take away anyone's rights. Yet our Senators will vote on this amendment in the next 48 hours.
It's urgent that we speak up now. This hateful divisiveness has no place in America. Please join me in saying so, at:

Equality in marriage is the civil rights issue of our generation. We can't let anyone, or any group, be singled out for discrimination based on who they are or who they love.

| Thanks for sharing that man. Oteil had some really interesting things to say about the whole subject. Man it's always great to see what kind of people these musicians are I like especially when they are as cool as Oteil. Not to mention what a cool guy Tim is. |

Because they're candy asses who never state their own political agenda and are running entirely on a campaign attacking the current president, and not on their own merit? I watch the news almost every night and I have yet to hear something that Kerry has said where he actually took a stand on any particular issue other than "we can't possible have four more years of that guy!". I wonder if all of the people that vote for Kerry out of dislike for George Bush and not because they actually support Kerry will be singing the same tune if/after Kerry is elected.
For the record, I will not be voting. I don't trust Kerry as far as I can throw him and can't find out how he stands on any given issue...and Bush has made his share of mistakes. Traditionally I'd vote Republican, all things considered equal. Not this time. |

| I'd say vote third party (Libertarian is interesting, as I said in another thread, but just a suggestion) just to help them get a percentage point. The media will never notice the third parties unless they get enough votes. |
