Hello, hello, hello, Good to be back, even though I am sure noone missed me. CW tour is now over and I am back at work. The below info is straight from the email to the TR email list as I did not want to have to rewrite it again. Again?, you ask. Well I typed up the whole damn thing and then tried to send it out and yahoo in it's infinite wisdom lost it. UNRETRIEVEABLE so I had to sit down and type it all again from scratch. Subsequently, I don't feel like rewording it yet a third TIMe so my post here will just be what I sent to the email list. Sorry for being so lazy but I need to sleep. LOL Hey Pam, I am sure you will be the first to notice and comment on the particular BENEFIT TR is doing this TIMe. Small world eh? Also let me take a sec to thank the folks who came out and saw me on my Chris Whitley tour. THANX!!! Especially Kevin who did merch for me in San Diego and PJK in Bryn Mawr. I also had another one of those sychronistic moments on the CW tour. In NY I ran into Dave Cahill, Rubylith from the board, and it turns out his brother is Rich Cahill who has done tattoos for Chris Whitley. They both came to the Knitting Factory shows and it was neat to find out that Dave was related to Rich who I had heard about for years. Talk about a small world and it just seems to get smaller.
Hello Everyone, Sorry once again for the last minute nature of this annoucement, but I am getting the info out to you as soon as I have it. TR is doing another BENEFIT! This one is for The Cancer Treatment Research Center(Breast Cancer) and here is all the info:
04/10/04 Albuquerque NM El Rey Theatre 622 Central Avenue Albuquerque, NM 87102 PHONE: 505-242-2353 Doors 8pm Set time( tbd ) 1 hr solo acoustic set ticket price $8 single $12 for couple 21 and over
I am told there will be a local support act but don't know any more than that. Please show up early and show your support for another worthwhile cause and enjoy a great evening of music.
In other TR news, TR has been keeping himself busy on the Dennis Kucinich campaign trail and it looks like there may be some more events for Dennis this summer as Dennis is not giving up on spreading his word. TR also took a little vacation with the family and told me that trip spawned some new acoustic songs. I am looking forward to hearing the new material. TR has also been working steadily on the forthcoming new TR CD and hopes to finish it up this summer so we can be on the lookout for new TR very soon. Keep your fingers crossed.
As far as future TouR plans, it is all still up in the air. TR does have a "one-off" coming up, or as they call it in the business, a "fly-in" date.
4/24/2004 Hamilton NY Colgate University Cushman House at Colgate University 102 Broad Street Hamilton, NY 13346 Doors 4:30 pm Set time 5pm 1 60 minute set TR will be headlining this show, but he will be performing first. Other acts:The Bridge will follow TR's set, and then our old friends Peter Prince & Moon Boot Lover will close the show. Tickets $10 All ages
This show is not part of a TouR. There may be more "one-off's" in the not too distant future, so keep watching for emails with new show announcements and any future TouR info.
Also, something else to look forward too, Mike "Soko" Sokolowski emailed me and is shipping the new OFFERING CD to the manufacturers this week, so hopefully we should have a new CD featuring TR very soon. For those new members of the email list who may not be familiar, The Offering is a project featuring Mike Sokolowski, Worth Proffit, and Tim Reynolds. This CD is a recording of their show at The Knitting Factory in NYC on June 24th, 2001. Their first and only performance together in over 10 years. Mike said Greg Howard did a great job mixing & mastering it and it sounds unbelieveable.
Well that's it for now. Thanx for your continued interest and support and hope to see alot of you at any upcoming TR shows this year. Keep watching for new dates and as always.........

Fluffy, you have been missed a lot, more than you know. Yes, I was the first to comment on your other post. Tell TIM I said thanks from all the women (and men) who suffer with this disease. I just finished some volunteer work for the American Cancer Society and I hope to be in the Race for A Cure in Philly the first week in May. (I'm doing the walk, don't have enough energy to run LOL) |

Additional Information:
TIM REYNOLDS is well known as an occasional guitarist with the Dave Matthews Band and has been called an "unplugged guru" w/ an uncommon command of melody and dissonance. Reynolds' horizons are so broad, his technical skills so immaculate, that it is difficult to attribute his playing to any one general style. Overall, Reynolds is a guitarist who rises above the mere mastery of chops to a virtual state of communion with his instrument. With over 20 CDs in his discography from progressive rock, straight-up jazz and high powered funk fusion, he masters guitar, bass, piano, sitar, mandolin, violin, and a plethora of ethnic percussion instruments. When this self-taught musician performs it is a symphony of the senses.
As always, this event will benefit UNM- Cancer Treatment & Research Center (one of the best research facilities in the nation for breast cancer treatment) for Breast Cancer Research. With guest hosts of 103.3 THE ZONE: Brian Gutierrez & Sexton

Fluffy, and everyone else. I just went back to a breast cancer board where I frequented often while battling the disease. I no longer go back much as it often stirs up my emotions and causes me to remember things I am trying to forget, but today I went back and was shocked to learn that Denver Meterologist Pam Daale just recently passed away from breast cancer. She was only 40, left behind two small children and a husband.
Another friend of that board just lost her 29 year old cousin to the disease, ironically she was also from Denver.
When I say Thank You to TIM for doing this benefit, it is on behalf of all the women who have and continue to suffer from this disease. |
