Hey Everyone, sorry for my absence, but I have just been helluva busy with work, work, work. I have tour dates to confirm and some to announce. What follows is what I have recieved thus far from Tom, our booking agent. He assures me more are coming. Of course, as always, I will post them just as soon as I have confirmed contracts in my hot little hands(read:on my puter).
The first to confirm are the upcoming brief run of east coast ACOUSTIC dates:
ENGAGEMENT DATE: 7/17/2003 ARTIST: Tim Reynolds VENUE: House of Blues/MA 96 Winthrop St. Cambridge, MA 02138 PHONE: 617-491-2583 CAPACITY: 180 TICKET PRICE: $18 adv./ $20 d.o.s. (GA) DOORS: 7pm & 9:45pm (turn house) AGES: 18+ PERF LENGTH: 1 (75 min.) set per show PERF. TIME: 8pm & 10:45pm
ENGAGEMENT DATE: 7/18/2003 ARTIST: Tim Reynolds VENUE: Colorado Brewery 6 Delay Street Danbury, CT 06801 PHONE: 203-791-1450 CAPACITY: 500 or 900 TICKET PRICE: $15 DOORS: 8pm AGES: 18+ PERF LENGTH: 2 (50 min.) sets PERF. TIME: 10pm
ENGAGEMENT DATE 7/19/2003 ARTIST: Tim Reynolds VENUE: Frederick Blues Festival Harry Grove Stadium 12 Stadium Drive (I-70 & I-270) Frederick, MD 21705 PHONE: 301-524-5301 CAPACITY: 5500 DOORS: 1pm AGES: All TICKET PRICE: $20 adv/$25 d.o.s. PERF LENGTH: 1 (60 min) set PERF. TIME: 6:00 pm
Beyond that, TR has a one off at the SoulFlow Festival in NY. I am not sure whether this will be Solo Electic or ACOUSTIC, but I am guessing it will be ACOUSTIC as TR is doing this one on his own as a fly-in date. I will most likely be attending this show, my schedule permitting, just to help out with anything TR might need.
ENGAGEMENT DATE:8/23/2003 ARTIST:Tim Reynolds VENUE:Soul Flow Music Festival Moose River Park Lyonsdale, NY 13368 PHONE:315-724-3441 CAPACITY:10,000 TICKET PRICE:$55 adv./ $75 at gate AGES:All PERF LENGTH:1 (60 min.) set PERF. TIME:4:30pm
Now for the newest info, here is what is shaping up to be the Sept ChaosView/Acoustic dates. My understanding at this point is that the shows will be half acoustic/half solo electric and TR is hoping to have the return of THE VISUALS for this run of dates. This list is in no way complete and I will fill you on the latest additions as I recieve them. Tour is projected to run from about the 10th of Sept to about the 26th or 27th of Sept. What follows are what I have confirmed contracts for so far. Watch for updates to be posted here and to the email list.

As always, nothing is etched in stone, so please confirm all info with the venues as "things change" in this business. I will try to keep you all as current as I am, but still please confirm info with the venue for any show you are interested in attending.
As for TR, he has been keeping busy at home sorting thru "works in progress" and is hoping to return to the studio possibly in the fall. It remains to be seen what type of project that might be. As we know, TR is a man of mystery and change and I think that is what we all really like about him. I am anxious to see what the new year might bring. That's all the news for now and I hope to be around the board a little more often. So watch out for me, I will stop by whenever I can. I have missed you guys and my fun here more than you know. I hope I can get back in the swing of regular posting, but the task of getting caught up after such a lengthy absence is so daunting. Anyway, enuf about me. Hope to see alot of you at the upcoming TR shows and keep watching for new dates and new info on TR.

Fluffy, just to be curious... you have the Zip Code for 4 of the last 6 engagements as the same, 18702.
Just thought I'd point that out. |

my HOB tickets say 18+, too. ANd that's the only reason I can go....because I am finally 18!!!!
Have to admit, that 21+ mistake freaked me out....i checked the tickets, no lie, 9 times.
No seriously, no exaggeration...I checked the tickets a total of 4 million times.
Also, I payed 18 (plus the convenience tax and state tax and printing tax and sugar tax and then the stamp act tax was in there somewhere....those stupid Bluesy people think they can do anything cuz they have their own house!)

...and their tea!
But we need to keep this really simple. So what can we do to their sugar and do to their tea, but have both things be the same thing?!
PS: there is a correct answer I am looking for, and it does not involve more taxing. |

AHHHHH some of you are very lucky! I sure wish I could go to see TIM again. I thought perhaps the Aug 23 date but I looked up the festival on line and I don't think I will be able to travel at that point in TIMe as I will be in the middle of treatments.
I wish he was doing more venues like he did last fall. Oh well, such is life.
For you who are attending, I for one will be looking forward to your reviews! |

Thanx for pointing out the zip codes thing. I went back and checked the contracts and, indeed, they all have the same zip code. I hadn't noticed that as I was posting them(obviously). Next TIMe I talk to Tom I will ask him about it. My guess is that on his template he entered it on the first one and then when there were none given on the the next dates, he forgot to delete it from the template. Of course, this is just a guess, but who knows, maybe aliens are somehow involved. As for the HOB age thing, on my contract it says 21+, but on their website(and tix apparently)it says 18+. I am inclined to believe their website as they probably wouldn't make a mistake like that on THEIR website. AS I always say:

As I always say, even when things are supposedly etched in stone(I have a confirmed contract)they can change. Here is my first update and correction. The show at the Hard Rock Cafe in Pittsburgh is now scheduled for Sept 17th. The previous date was Sept 11th. So I have updated the info above and also include it here:
ENGAGEMENT DATE: 9/17/2003 ARTIST: Tim Reynolds VENUE: Hard Rock Café 1 Station Square Drive Pittsburgh, PA 18702 PHONE: 412-481-7625 CAPACITY: 350 TICKET PRICE: $15 adv./ $17 d.o.s. DOORS: 8:30pm AGES: 18+ PERF LENGTH: 1 (90 min.) set PERF. TIME: 9:30pm |

A little clarification of the HOB show. Indeed it is 18+. Also there seems to be some confusion as to how the nite will run. There is no opening act, it is a an evening with TR. There are 2 seperate shows, and early show and a late show and TR tells me that the performances will be considerable different setlists. So if you are attending one, you may want to consider attending both. The tell me that early show is selling quickly and will most likely be sold out. The late show there are still plenty of tix for(at least when I talked to the HOB 2 days ago). Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Lets start off this run of dates with 2 sold out shows. Wouldn't that be nice. |
