I'm not sure if you are, but make fun if you like. I may and probably do sound like a dork, ranting and raving about tiny strips of "special" wood." Even so, they are amazing.

I for one, wasn't making fun, I NEVER HEARD OF THEM!!!! Really! So they are strips of bark, hummmm, still you never said where you buy them from.

I try to only eat non-processed foods, ie: if it grows a certain way, thats how I eat it, you know, lots of fruit and vegies, in the raw hehe. Anyway this sounded interesting, so while I can't speak for the rest I am not being sarcastic!

I knew a guy from...some african country, not sure which one. Anyway, he doesn't brush his teeth, he chews tree bark. And he had WHITE teeth. So, I'm not making fun of it.

Tea tree oil is great stuff. Dentists in Australia have their patients rinse with it(diluted) before they do any dental work or surgery and has shown to reduce infections by like 80%(medline research info). It's an anti-bacterial, antiseptic, and has healing properties similar to calendula. Except with TTO you can't use it full strength or it kinda burns. More is not better as I found out in a near death episode in the bath. heehee.

So the chewing sticks are probably to promote good dental hygiene.
I know there are lots of toothpastes and mouth wash with TTO. better
for you than fluoride too.

Honey is like that too. Tea tree oil, applied to the skin, is good against acne.
