The iraq-o-meter, what a powerful tool that is.
Kind of like Sadaam Hussein, not exactly powerful anymore, but still a tool nonetheless.

Here's a little tidbit that's not on the page...
At the beginning of the war Iraq had 800 tanks. They now have 16. Don't know why I posted that, just thought it was interesting.
But that's ok, because according to the Iraqi Minister of (dis)Information, we're nowhere close to Baghdad.
That guy is so full of shit I almost feel sorry for the Iraqi government. He should win the Oscar for best actor. I watch CNN before I go to bed, and on the west coast my bedtime just happens to be noonish in Baghdad so I see all his press conferences live. Late Sunday/early Monday he said that our forces were nowhere near Baghdad and that coalition forces were committing suicide at the walls of the city. Then a reporter chimed in, "This is so-and-so from the BBC. The coalition forces are 1/2 mile from here right now. You can hear the gunfire. What do you mean they're nowhere close?" The press conference promptly ended.
I'm waiting for the day he's saying the same stuff and a coalition soldier just pops into the background and waves.

| I'm intrigued by the whole "Ministry of Information" title. Doesn't giving somebody that title imply that the government it supports needs an entire organization for propaganda? |
