I'm thinking about getting an MP3 player so I'll have something to listen to when I run. (When I finish my marathon training program, I'll have to run solo, which makes me very bored.)
Requirements are: 1) Must work with Mac (but no FireWire ) 2) Must play at least three hours worth of music (that's 12 miles) 3) Must be small enough to carry while running (maybe around waist)
Now for an ignorant question. Do you know what it takes to get music from a CD to this little player? (or any one of these little players for that matter?) Do I need to buy some other software?
Got it! Now I just have to figure out how to make it work.
I have (I think) translated three discs from a Maya Angelou book on CD, which are now in my iTunes library. It's only three hours worth of audio, but for some reason I can't get it to fit on the Rio. I think I'll have to actually open the user's manual.
Didn't help much. But I found that if I load just songs, it works fine. If I try to convert a book on CD to MP3 and put those files on the Rio, though, I get error messages. Maybe there's a problem with the books on CD.
