Picked up their cd today, flipping amazing band. Oteil burbridge, according to victor wooten, is the best bass player of today, he's just amazing. Tall dude with a 6 string bass that plays with the allman brothers, and is a lot better in his own solo career. i picked up this great deal with his cd "the family secrets." It cost 18 bucks, and it's a cd and 2 hour dvd, just awesome.
Anyway the group kinda sounds like mahavishnu orchestra in some parts, with unison guitar/violin licks, and then sounds kinda galactic/soulive in other sections. the band has a great vibe about it, funky jazzy grooves. The best part is it's led by Oteil, just a great bass player(who scat sings a bit too!)
