I'm not sure I understand the question, but I'll do my best to answer it. I think what you're asking is how to play a barre chord (let's say A), mute all the strings, and then play the same A chord again. If this is what you mean, then all you really have to do is hold down your fingers in the position of the chord, then lift your fingers up above the frets but still on the strings, while keeping your fingers in the same position. Then when you want to play the same chord again, all you have to do is push down.
