I just got a Taylor 710. There are no cutaways or anything, but it is equipped with a pickup. It sounds really weak and thin when I plug it in to my regular amp. I looked in on Fishman.com, and found that if it were a Matrix Pickup, it needs a 9-volt? I guess what i'm asking is...how the hell do I find out what type of pickup it is?? I don;t want to break the damn thing trying to find out. I feel no 9-volt in there!! It's not a used guitar.... But the 710 doesn't come with anything stock, I think it was added at the factory.

I think most pickup systems that need a 9 volt have EQ settings on teh guitar. Mine does, and it needs a 9-volt. THe slot for the battery is on top of the guitar, so if it doesn't have one of those, it probably doesn't need one.
